The Village Of La Grange (Illinois, Cook County) Police Department is offering the following vehicle for sale: 2000 Ford Taurus SE 4-door with VERY LOW ORIGINAL MILEAGE of 18,860 This vehicle was used as an administrative vehicle by a village staff member and is being sold as surplus village property. By Illinois law, the vehicle MUST be sold in an auction-style setting such as eBay. There is no Buy-It-Now option and is being sold AS IS with no existing warranty. The vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder once the starting price has been satisfied (no reserve). The vehicle is in excellent condition with no known problems. It was well-maintained by our village mechanic. The vehicle has newer tires. The vehicle has an AM/FM stereo with a cassette player in working order. The vehicle has air conditioning and heat in working order. All lights, horn, electrical accessories, etc appear to be in good working order. The vehicle has cruise control in working order. The vehicle has power locks, power windows, power mirrors, power driver's pedals, power driver's seat, all in working order. The interior of the vehicle is VERY clean and (again), the vehicle has very low mileage. The vehicle shows normal wear-n-tear for it's age: There are small scratches about the vehicle, none are major damage. The vehicle has a small rust spot on the driver's side rear door (see photographs). The vehicle (again) is surplus village property and MUST be sold according to Illinois law; it must be sold in an auction-style setting such as eBay. There is no Buy-It-Now option and is being sold AS IS and with no existing warranty, neither express nor implied. The winning bidder is responsible for the pick up of the vehicle or making arrangements with a private shipping service at their own expense. Due to the vehicle being sold AS IS and with No existing warranty, we suggest that potential bidders view the vehicle in person as there may be defects or undetected problems we are not aware of.
