Vehicle Detail
1978 VW Bus/Camper, modified buy Westfalia. Engine electrically fuel injected 2 liter, was professionally rebuilt 2 years ago. K&N air-filter. New Bosch battery. New front windshield. After market Kenwood radio (comes with remote) with aftermarket speakers. Seat belts instaled in rear bench seat. Brand new spare tire. New front brake rotors and pads professionally installed, rotors are under warranty. Professionally replaced bushings in shifter linkage. All original interior, very little ware and tare. It has a full sized bed in the top tent and the rear bench seat folds down into an other full sized bed. They are very comfortable and each will fit two adults comfortably. It has ample storage and a sink which requires a new water pump. I still have all the original equipment that it came with 35 years ago; Child hammock which suspends across the front seats; front window cover; and the rear hatch screen , which keeps the bigs out if you want to leave the rear hatch open while you are camping; And the original extension cord to hook up to city power. It also comes with a few extras such as tire chains, some spare parts and other things I have found useful. It runs great! This vehicle is an absolute pleasure to drive! I have driven this thing up Mt. Lemmon here in Tucson, through the San Diego Mountains in California and to Lake Apache near Phoenix and it never gave me trouble on those steep grades and handles dirt roads very well.It is supposed to get about 18mpg city and 25mpg highway. The emergency flasher switch requires replacement. It has the original green paint with pin striping down the side. there are some minor dents and scratches with some rust. The frame is in great condition, it will drive perfectly straight. It still has most of its factory coating so corrosion is very minimal. I have every maintenance receipt going back to 1979! I also have the original user manuals.I have had so much fun with this thing with friends and family, and I get compliments about it where ever I go. I am selling because I am in the USAF and I am being sent to a new duty station soon and can not take it with me. There is a lien on the tittle with USAA but I can get a clean tittle as soon as I have a buyer, no problem. Please message me if you have any questions or would like some more pictures.
