Vehicle Detail

For your consideration, we offer this lovely '67 TR6 Bobber. Matching numbers, clear New Jersey title. The bike came to us as a running chopper in need of a cosmetic makeover.....The only thing we wound up using was the motor, rear hub and the front frame loop! Everything on this bike is brand new! These new parts include: DNA springer with 11.5" disc brake, drag bars, 5" Glide risers, 21" front wheel and Avon tire, HD levers and master cylinder, stainless brake line, dual piston caliper, Barnett clutch cable (made to fit the HD lever and has the Triumph fitting for the engine side), metal tube throttle (not cheesy plastic or nylon), diamond grips, freshly laced 16" rear wheel, Shinko Speed Grip style tire, front and rear brakes, custom leather solo seat, torsion type seat springs, Bates style head light, round drilled tail light, custom aluminum fender struts, AGM battery, ignition switch, head light switch, Boyer ignition, Tympanium regulator, fuel taps, rear fender, shift lever, kick lever, footpeg rubbers, drive chain, chrome barrel coil. I'm sure I'm forgetting some parts, but you get the idea.... Originally we thought we were just doing cosmetics. When we started cleaning up the motor, we noticed a REALLY amateur repair done in the transmission. To be on the safe side, we split the cases and rebuilt the entire motor! So much for "cosmetic makeover".....Turns out the ham fisted mechanic who worked on the trans never got his mitts into the rest of the motor! Things were very tidy and in good order. Crank journals were polished and measured. Everything was good. new rod bearings were installed. Sludge tube was removed (it was actually pretty clear!), cleaned and installed along with a new allen head tube plug. Cases were sandblasted and all bearings checked. New needle bearings were installed in the trans. Top end had been recently done. My machinist checked the cylinder, honed and decked it and we installed it with new tappet blocks, new pushrod tubes and new 60 over Hepolites. All valves, guides and seats were all checked. Valves seats were all cleaned up and the head lightly decked. Rocker boxes were disassembled, polished and reassembled. Engine covers were then powder coated satin black to match the rest of the bike. Trans now has a new 20 tooth sprocket, clutch puhsrod, new shifter pawls and springs (always needed for crisp shifts) and a new primary chain. We also repaired any bad threads for the covers with 1/4x26 Helicoils. It goes without saying that all new seals and gaskets were used as well as other necessary items. The engine does have the obligatory chain blowout. This is strictly cosmetic. A previous owner put a metal cover/patch over the spot. Looks fine. The head does have a broken fin on the top. Again, just cosmetic. The motor runs like a Swiss watch! Starts right up and has a nice easy clutch pull. The frame, complete with the 4" over hardtail was sandlasted prepped and painted with DuPont Hot Rod Black. New Factory Metal Works motor mounts, the vintage folding footpegs, rear hub and brake parts as well as the horse shoe oil tank were all painted to match the frame. The tank and fender are DuPont flat black with burgundy sparkle panels. We took photos in different light to try and capture the flake, which just does not photograph easy! Our all time favorite drag racer/pinstriper, the great GW Ross, laid down some killer graphics! Apologies if some of the pictures are dark, we were playing Peek-A-Boo with the sun...If you need too see other pics, just call or email. Better yet, stop by and see the bike in person! The bike is stunning looking and runs just as good! As a mechanic, you can always tell "a good one" when after being rebuilt it starts right up and idles and only takes half a turn of the mixture screw to settle right in! This is one of those. Our pre 1971 Triumph customs generally run in the 11,000 to 15,000 range. This one is THOUSANDS less!! Not because we cut corners, quite the contrary. We did WAY more than we had originally intended. Our goal has always been to keep the bikes as affordable as possible. We got a good deal when we aquired the bike, so we can pass the savings along. feel free to email any questions or call us at the shop. 908-464-2288. We are a full time shop that specializes in vintage Triumphs. We are here Tuesday through Saturday 10-6 est. Feel free to call us about anything Triumph. Payment in the form of wire transfer, certified bank check or cash upon local pick up due within five days of auctions end. Buyer is responsibl for all shipping arrangements and fees. We are in an industrial area and are truck friendly. For our European friends, super affordable shipping is available to Thamesport and Rotterdam. We have a great international shipper and we can deliver the bike to the shipping port free of charge! I have described this bike to the best of my ability, however, it is sold "as is" with no warranty expressed or implied.
