With a four-door, four-bucket seat styling, more interior space for cargo and passengers, and a slightly higher stance on the road, the Countryman brings a wholly new feel to the MINI experience. This Countryman is bright yellow with black bonnet striping, a color scheme that looks very sharp during the day and at night. There are no scratches, dings, dents, or other blemishes on the paint, and no problems at all with the mechanics or engine. A large portion of the mileage was taken on the highway, and not on punishing short city trips, so the transmission is in good shape. The Countryman features a 121-horsepower, 1.6L 4-cylinder engine that can help the MINI reach 60 mph in 9.8 seconds, yet is very fuel-efficient: EPA ratings for the base Countryman are 28 mpg city, 35 highway. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard. In a hallmark of the MINI brand, the Countryman encompasses a very nimble driving feel with plenty of agility, making it more fun to drive on a curvy road compared to other small crossovers. MacPherson struts in front and a multi-link setup in back help the Countryman hug the road and stay controlled while also having a reasonably settled ride. The electric-assisted power steering system varies effort based on speed, allowing a light feel while parking or a more secure feel at high speed. The Sport Mode provides an even firmer steering feel. The Countryman has the safety-feature set of a larger, more expensive vehicle. Electronic stability control is standard, as is an electronic differential lock that helps manage traction between the front wheels. Anti-lock brakes and cornering brake control further help with driving confidence and safety. In all Countryman models, 205/50R17 run-flat tires are standard-equipment, and this model features black alloy rims that look excellent with the paint and color scheme. Power mirrors and rear window wiper are also featured. Inside, this Countryman carries a multitude of options that create an atmosphere of comfort and convenience. The seating position is about three inches higher than other MINI models, and the Piano Black color scheme is classy and sharp. The Center Rail system is a unique system that replaces the center console with a range of potential storage options—featuring a modular cupholder and sunglasses case with other features purchasable. Along with two normal-sized back doors, the Countryman has respectable backseat space in two individual seats capable of sliding 5.1 inches fore and aft as well as tilt, and can fold forward completely to obtain up to 41.3 cubic feet of cargo space. The included cold-weather package features heated front seats with three settings, heated washer jets, and heated mirrors. This MINI also has a USB/iPod adapter in the center console, allowing your iPod or iPhone to directly link to the radio system. The sound system features a CD player with six speakers, HD radio technology, and auxiliary input jack. The upgraded MINI Connected with Bluetooth interface is the ultimate hands-free phone option, allowing you to enable voice command with the press of a button on the steering column. Cruise control, volume and radio controls, and phone options are all easily accessed via buttons located directly on the steering wheel. Ambient lighting with color change feature is a fun option inside, and a satellite option is available with subscription to Sirius. Remote keyless entry with two sets of keys is included, and aftermarket MINI mats were purchased and included here. This MINI also has several warranties still in effect. A 3 year/36,000 mile Maintenance Program, a 4 year/50,000 mile limited warranty, a 12 year Rust Perforation Limited Warranty, and a 4 year/unlimited mileage Roadside assistance program are all still in effect, adding to the comfort and confidence of the quality MINI brand. If there is one flaw in this car, it is that the black rims have a couple of minor scuffs and scratches from hitting the curb while parking. These are very minor, and can be buffed and colored is quite easily. Otherwise, this car is in fantastic shape and has not been involved in any accidents of any kind.
