You are bidding on a complete, original, running 1969 Rolls Royce Shadow that needs some work. ** This car is sold for parts of restoration only - it is not road ready ** The car will start, run and drive but the electric gear selector does not work properly and the brake hydraulics need overhaul and are unsafe in their present form. This would be an excellent first Rolls for someone with mechanical aptitude. These older Rolls Royce cars are simple to work on. The body and chrome are mostly good, including the grille and flying lady. Wheels and caps are good. Tires are good, but old. The body exterior looks surprisingly good and is free of major dents flaws or visible rust or damage. The wood has the usual cracks but it's all there. Same for the leather and the rest of the interior. The car has some surface rusting visible on the undercarriage but no really serious rot. The hydraulic lines are a mess. They have been rusted and patched but the system has several leaks, the brake calipers need work, and the pumps may have trouble. You should plan to go through the whole system and of course the car will need to be serviced and fixed up end to end. The car can't really be driven in its present state so I can't tell you about the rest except to say it's all here, it's inexpensive (no reserve) and it's available for inspection here in Springfield, MA. Don't bid on this car unless you are able to transport it home (you won't be able to drive it) and you are ready to do the fixing up it needs.
