Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV, AWD, 6.0 H.O. I’ve honestly never seen a vehicle this age, with this amount of miles, in this good of condition. I've actually never seen a 80,000 mile vehicle this clean inside and underneath. Shows almost no wear, even the driver’s floor mat is near perfect. There are virtually no entry/exit scuffs, and the carpet/seat/floor area is immaculate, and obviously never actually been dirty. Always garaged. Looks/sounds/drives/rides like a less than 40,000 mile vehicle... really. The pedals, door handles, and typical wear areas look the same. Smells perfect. I took a group of people 1+ hour to a football game recently, one of the guys is a "car guy". On the way back home, I asked him to guess how many miles it had.... he said 40,000. Seriously. The stuff that I've done to this vehicle, have been to insure that it should be 100% trouble free for the next 100,000ish miles... this is a sacrifice. Don't let the miles be deceiving, it's way better than most 100,000 mile vehicles, plus has the intense maintenance/preventative maintenance (overkill) on top of that. Plus, I've been over it with a fine tooth comb... it's absolutely ready to roll. It was owned by a politician in Georgia, who drove it from the very edge of southern Georgia to Northern Georgia more than weekly. Obviously never been in the salt, the underneath is spotless. It’s got the original stickyish coating on the frame, and the body underneath looks like it's less than a year old. I have a PDF of a carfax that I bought for it not long after I bought it. I CAN E-MAIL IT TO YOU. It shows no accidents. It had two owners in one family, the first was the politician (actually shows government owned, but it was her personal vehicle. She was obviously very "particular", and it was extremely well maintained). Her adult daughter then owned it for a couple years, and I bought it from her. I picked it up from their immaculate house in southern Georgia, where it was in their garage. I've driven it on trips, and it's been in my garage most of the time. It sometimes goes a couple weeks without moving... though I've still managed to put 10,000 miles on it in a year. I’ve recently done the following: Most of these did not "need" to be done, they were just performed for longevity. Most of the used vehicles on eBay, car lots or wherever could use some of this stuff, but it's already done on this one. I did most of the work myself, with torque wrench in hand... and I'm anal about doing things the "right" way. If I stumbled across anything remotely questionable, I took care of it. - (4) New Michelin 275/55/20 LTX M/S2 tires… maybe 5000 miles, OE 20” Cadillac wheels. Best tires available for this vehicle, they were $1050. Perfectly balanced and smooth. - Almost new (long story) authentic AC Delco Auto-Ride shocks (almost $400.00 EACH at dealership) - New load leveling compressor, aftermarket, Arnott Industries. - AC Delco Iridium Plugs - New Front Differential Bearings (Common problem with the AWD’s) - New oil cooler hoses, (Common problem with the GM’s with 5.3’s and 6.0’s) - Replaced a few steering components: Pitman arm, idler arm, tie rod (anything that possibly showed any sign of wear that was steering related, all MOOG brand) - Coolant flush - Transmission flush/filter- Rear differential gear lube- Transfer case gear lube- Seat heater element, driver. I bought passenger too, I'll include it with vehicle, in case either ever go out again. - New Interstate battery All of the above adds up to about $5000.00++ retail. No, I didn't spend that, but I've put a bunch of hours into it, and had friends in the automotive industry to do the work that I couldn't do. Most of the above is needed on any of the 80,000+ mile Escalades/Suburbans/Denalis etc. It's absolutely NOT your typical (runs well, "needs nothing"(yeah, right)) cheap eBay vehicle. Everything on the vehicle is 100%. The brakes are somewhat recent, and everything works as it should. It’s insanely quiet, rattle free, and smooth.I have the thing that goes over where the front license plate goes. I did not install it, since it was scratch from where the previous owner had stored it on a shelf in their garage. It's not a primary vehicle, but I'm still driving it some on trips and weekends. I just drove 6 people on a 2000 mile trip, it was flawless. It has 193,671 on it now, but will probably rack up a couple hundred more by auction close. Yes, it has more than the odometer picture... I've driven it since the picture, and I didn't bother to re-take.In the picture, I noticed an oil spot on the driveway... it is NOT from this vehicle. It's from an old Jeep.... this vehicle leaks nothing! Negatives… basically just for the sake of full disclosure: - There is a key scratch (from the politician days) that goes from about the passenger side door to almost the back. It’s not through the paint, but it’s in the clear coat. I’ve hand waxed it… it may be able to be buffed, but I haven’t tried that. It’s rarely very noticeable; I’ve had no desire to repair it. I chose a picture that makes it show up. - Some scuffs on the front bumper. In and out of garage scuffs… just in the paint. Couple nicks on front bumper and where a trailer tapped when backing up... I haven't attempted to touch up anything. Small scuffie pooh on the driver's side running board. Under the back door, shows up in picture... about as much as it does in person. (not much) To me, this is a big transaction. I'll do everything I can to make the transaction comfortable for both parties.... line up a bank, etc for the title notarization (if that needs to happen, it's different in different states) I hate to offend by the check verification, but as I said, it's a big transaction, neither party wants to be left holding any kind of bag! Clean NC title, no lien.I have two OE keys and remotes. Feel free to call me if you want.... please message me for my #. I'm not going to list all of the typical Escalade options/accessories, I think they are all basically the same. It is the version with the drop down TV/DVD, and not the sunroof.
