Vehicle Detail

PICTURES HAVE BEEN ADDED. I ALSO WANTED TO NOTE THAT ALL GLASS IN THIS CAR IS ORIGINAL AND GOOD AS FAR AS I COULD SEE TODAY. This 1937 Terraplane was bought new in 1937 and driven by the original owner until 1973. I have owned it for years and it has always been in the garage since I have owned. The engine had been rebuilt and new wiring. The original coil was replaced with a non stock coil but the original coil is still attached. I had planned on restoring this car but I had an accident and broke my back and was never able to complete the task. I poured mystery oil into the head sparkplug sockets to protect the engine from rusting inside but I do not know the condition. I cannot tell you if the engine is stuck or loose, but it was loose when I poured the mystery oil in it. that has always worked for me before. The body is solid, has had a few dings but the metal is strong and should repair easily. Floor pans and trunk pan is good. Excellent car to restore or to make a rat rod from. The lady who bought this car new drove it in SC until 1972 when she passed away. It still has the 1972 inspection sticker and two original 1973 SC license tags. SC is a nontitle state so I will provide a bill of sale with the car. I have a letter from the SC dept of motor vehichles explaining no title was issued at the time this care was sold new. I can only give you a bill of sale from me stating there was no title when I purchased the car and provide the paperwork I was given. Not sure how difficult your state will be but I'll provide whatever I can to help. Suicide doors, original interior, no missing parts, original hubcaps and wheels, etc. This car has a cork clutch which had been rebuilt when I bought. the car. It has been several years since this car was run so I am being as honest as I can about it. I would prefer to see it restored to original condition. Terraplanes are rare and difficult to find. This is the 6 cylinder flathead that broke the world speed record on the salt flats. It also broke an endurance record for several hours of nonstop speed which I think was 80 mph. this was probably the toughest and one of the fastest cars of its day. I'll see if I can find that info and add it to the listing. I noticed the hubcaps were not on the car but I know all were there when I bought the car. If I cannot find them before you come get the car, I will send them to you when I find them. I have years of items stored in my buildings and I just don't remember where I put them. I cannot guarantee I will ever find them but I feel they are there somewhere. There is an old jack in the back floorboard of this car and if it originally came with the car, I will include it. If it was not the original jack, I will keep it for my other antique cars which I will be selling. The sheet metal on this car is strong and all the windows and glass is original and good. This car is too good for a rat rod but when you buy it, it is yours. I just hate to see it not restored to original. I am located in NW North Carolina in Creston and would advise anyone to come and see the car for themselves. I LOOKED FOR VIN NUMBER OR SERIAL NUMBER, CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE TO FIND IT? I ALSO HAVE SOME LITERATURE, MANUALS, ETC. ALL ORIGINAL, THAT I WILL BE SELLING ON EBAY AFTER I SELL THIS CAR. I WANT TO GIVE THE PURCHASER A CHANCE TO BID ON IT.
