Vehicle Detail

Please view the photos and watch the video to see the exact condition http://youtu.be/n_5_bKjHmik (COPY AND PASTE THIS LINK INTO YOUR BROWSER AND HIT ENTER) CAR -1966 Chevy Nova SS-Vin #117376N16XXXX-Trim tag decoded at this site: NOVASOURCE.ORG/C66.HTM-Trim tag photo looks deceiving but this below is actually what is stamped on it: - 66-11837 (1966, Chevrolet, Chevy II Nova SS, V8) - NOR127 (Norwood, OH, starts at 127087) -D (color=red)-756-B (Red Buckets)-W (tinted windshield) 2MS (powerglide, rear antenna)-C-C (padded dash?)-5-Y(no idea)**I see nothing indicating what the 5-y stands for on the trim tag-Odometer reads: 32752 but I have no way to know if it is original, around once, or twice... or 10x but here is the history from old buyer: HISTORY TO MY KNOWLEDGE -I purchased from a 40 year old guy who put on the wheels, dual exhaust, and cheesy radio when he was in high school. They took outthe 327 in the 70's for a 350/350 swap... and then never completed it. It sat on a cement floor in the garage from the early 80's till I purchasedit in 2006 or so. He says his dad purchased from the original insurance agent in Grand Rapids mi. I took it to a body shop for a completerestoration. They stripped all of the old paint off the car and replaced the floors, and trunk floor. For reasons non related to this car, I decidedto pull the plug on this restoration and hauled this car into storage. Last year we had someone install the motor/trans and I planned to completeit but with all of my projects I just don't have time and we just sold the property where it is being stored. DRIVETRAIN: This car currently has pedals and a 4 speed saginaw trans in it with a circle track 377 small block, open headers, camel back heads and a holley 4 barrel. Holley red electric fuel pumpand it is a pretty ratty motor. It starts and runs and you can move it around but the cam is huge and wants to idle around 2000+ rpm. The clutch has a kit linkage kit from an onlineNova 11 store.. paid good money for it but it does not work properly... needs fine tuning. One brake works so it needs brakes. BODYAll indications show ALL panels on this car are original EXCEPT complete floors and trunk were professionally replaced in 2009 and the lower drivers quarter(mid section down) was replacedyears ago. 4-speed tunnel was modified so if you take it back to automatic it will need to be massaged. Small dent in passenger fender (see photo and video). The video does not show the flooror trunk floor very well but my text explains very well they have been replaced, are still in manufactured e-coat finish. INTERIOR: Front buckets are complete, original and in great condition. Back seat is in good condition as well. No carpet, headliner, and the front door panels need to be replaced. Needs a windshield and rear glass. It has rear side glass and tracks and everything, front door tracks and all but as of now I cannot find the door glass. Consider them gone but I know they are here and if I find them they'll go with it. Although it looks like the dash has been modified for the radio, it has not. It appears to be the stock hole where the big oem radio bezel goes. EXTERIOR TRIM: Bumpers (with original vertical bumpers) are good, all trim for the car is there, grille, lights, bezels, emblems, tail lights, window trim... all there. The trim is a good driver quality but NOT show quality. One of the headlamp bezels are pretty poor and need to be replaced. SELLING as is with no warranty expressed or implied BUT I do warrant all of the information and listing provided as factual. I took photos and a video to show everything up front. When this car is complete it will bring $35,000-$45 and even in the $50,000's depending on how you build it so PLEASE do not bother mewith stupid offers or foolish comments. This is a no reserve auction and this means it will sell to the highest bidder. I may consider trading it for a completely finished muscle car but NO junk. PLEASE don't ask what I would sell it for. I used the decoder from the #1 most relevant 66 nova 11 trim tag decoder search on google. Legitimate questions or concerns please text me at 989-763-1428 or ask a question through ebay. On Dec-28-12 at 13:25:23 PST, seller added the following information: Ebayers are telling me the trim tag of 11837 means it is a SS v6 car. I have went to over 20 sites today and spent over 2 hours reading on this. Every site I check tells me it is a SS v8 car. Please research it yourself. I don't know if this is a ploy to get me to lower my price (74 requests today asking what I will sell it for to end auction early), or if EVERY tag decoder site is wrong. For this reason, I would recommend you research it. Unfortunately I don't have anymore time to spend on it. ALL sites I view confirm this car is exactly as this listing shows. I would never mislead anyone so please research it on your own. Thank you for reading.
