Vehicle Detail
This car needs a 1.8T engine. The oil light kept coming on even though the oil was full, I drove the car to my mechanic and he said while he was working on it the idler pulley let go and seized up the engine. He thinks it can be rebuilt. The car is worth fixing up, AWD worked excellent, it has 4 new brakes and rotors, 4 new coils, new O2 censor, needs a flex pipe, the one on it was new but rotted out while sitting in the drive wasy all summer. There is a little rust under the car, I believe its only surface rust. -New plugs and wires, and much more. Tires are good. Has a little rust over the front drivers wheel where the paint chipped off. And a small crack in the front bumper cover which happened when my daughter slid into a snow bank. The car goes down the road very straight and smooth. It has a 5 speed manual transmission which shifts great. Lots of power. Leather heated seats. Power sunroof. I'm selling to make more room for this winter. The car still books for a retail price of $7100 and a private party sale of $5280. I do realize the motor is bad and that is why I listed the car with NO RESERVE!!! The water pump and timing belt was changed approximately 2 years ago, and approximately 6 months later the car started running crappy again so I took it to another garage and he told me that the idler pulley was about to let go, so he changed the pulley, water pump and timing belt again. So this means the first mechanic never put in a pulley and the 2nd mechanic didn't do it right because it broke 6 months later. I paid more in these two timing belt changes than what my starting price is. The Audi failed its emission test in Dec 2011 because of a O2 sensor, according to the mechanic. I put a new O2 sensor in and had to run it a while to reset the computer. During that time the car started running like crap again so I drove it to my mechanic and while he was working on it he said the idler pulley let go. So I never got a chance to bring it back for the inspection sticker. Any question please email me. PLEASE IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO GO THROUGH WITH THE AUCTION PLEASE DO NOT BID, I'VE HAD SO MANY PEOPLE STIFF ME ON LOOKING AT THIS CAR WHEN I HAD IT LISTED BEFORE, I EVEN LEFT WORK EARLY TO GET HOME SO I COULD MEET THIS GUY AND HE NEVER SHOWED UP. AND THE BEST OF ALL WHEN I HAD THIS POSTED BEFORE IT ACTUALLY SOLD. BUT THE WINNING BIDDER WAS FROM TEXAS AND WHEN I EMAILED HIM HE SAID HE WAS WORKING ON PRICES TO SHIP THE CAR TO TEXAS. THAT WAS THE LAST TIME I HEARD FROM HIM, I EMAILED HIM SEVERAL TIMES AND GOT NO RESPONSE. SO DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE BIDDING, I'M IN NORTHERN NH WHICH IS 2 HOURS NORTH OF CONCORD, NH. I HAVE TO SELL THIS CAR BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ROOM TO STORE IT AND MY DAUGHTER'S TRAILBLAZER NEEDS NEW TIRES. I may end the auction early due to having the car for sale locally. Thank you for looking (I will not end early if bidding starts)
