Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon with just 64k one owner miles. Collector's Edition just like every other '96 Roadmaster built. One owner car originally from Massachusetts. Incredibly solid - NO body rust or rot, nice door jambs, solid undercarriage with only minor surface rust. Car is in great shape with some of those nice garage-kept low-mile touches like a really nice steering wheel and dashboard, nice black plastic trim that isn't chalky, bright shiny red taillights and nice grille and headlights with no plastic fading. Loaded up with power everything and every option works. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power and the 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 and G80 build codes) maximize traction to the pavement. Trailer preparation "tow package" equipped - car rated to pull 5000 but only a 1000 lb hitch (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches.) Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully as expected of low miles. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. Shifts perfectly. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is very straight and solid. The only notable dent is a small one above the left taillight as pictured. No bondo, no collision repair, no body rust, quarterpanels are all metal, all solid, not even a blister. Above average. Paint: Paint is very nice and shiny and original with no major issues - a half inch spot where paint is lifting low on right rear door and some scratches low on the front bumper are about the only complaints. Remarkable lack of rock chips on the hood. Also above average. Wood: Upper fake wood trim is original, not painted, and incredibly nice where normally the laminate peels off by now - the right rear door piece has a couple nicks; all else nice. Wood applique siding is very, very nice with a couple small nicks on the doors. No fading or peeling - still shiny and nice - no lifting around the rear license plate frame. Other: Lower stainless bright trim is incredibly straight and ding-free - the only ding I can find is a small on under the right taillight. There's a small crack in the front bumper near the right bumperette as pictured. Front bumper bright trim is extremely straight - lacking typical small dings. Rubber side trim is all present, original, shiny, not shrunken up. Glass is all nice with no rock chips or cracks. Undercarriage is solid with minor surface rust showing, underhood sheetmetal is all nice. Tailgate sill and door jambs are very solid, even in that left corner of the sill that typically rusts. Aluminum wheels are in great shape with only a wheel weight mark on each wheel. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in exceptionally nice shape as expected of low miles. Carpets are nice and clean without wear, dash has no cracks, door panels are in good shape. Driver's seat has light wear consistent with lower miles, all other seats are like new. Headliner is in great shape. Steering wheel is in great shape. No smoke odors - non-smoker's car. Even the multi-function switch still shows the cruise "OFF-ON-RES" lettering clearly. Very nice driver's window/seat/mirror switch panel without nicks or chips, no sun fade on the tops of the door panels, all the fake wood trim on the door panels is tight. Has all the factory floor mats. Very nice interior overall; way above average. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, button horn, wipers, etc.) ALL the power stuff works properly including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm cassette, power antenna, rear window release, rear wiper, keyless entry, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. Auto leveling works properly, too! DRIVEABILITY: Drives out beautifully. Steering is tight, suspension is tight, and alignment is good. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 70% tread remaining all around. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Limited slip works properly and rear end is quiet. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - jump in and drive anywhere. Car drives nice and tight. Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours. Balance due in 5 days by cash in person, wire transfer, or Wells Fargo cashier's check.
