Vehicle Detail
This is a beautiful, eye catching 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It is in what I believe is one of the most desirable color combinations of Baltic Blue Metallic with a tan interior. We are the "second" owners of this vehicle- the Carfax report shows 2 prior owners but this is due to a divorce in which the wife retained ownership and re-registered it in her name. She was meticulous in maintaining the vehicle, and pride of ownership shows. We purchased it a little over a year ago as my wife's "dream car", however we are reluctantly listing it due to an injury and subsequent loss of income on my part. We have put minimal miles on it and it has been a joy to drive; everywhere we go we get a lot of attention. Even a simple trip to the grocery store always gets a "Nice Jeep" comment. Every time! We even entered it in a local car show last July! On to the basics: most everything on this vehicle is original. I have added a nice Alpine stereo (the factory unit had already been replaced at purchase). I also installed a Rancho lift, about 2", and fitted 31" BFG all terrains. This gives the Jeep a nice stance, and personally I think Jeep should have built them this way. Other than that, everything is as equipped from the factory. Original 360 engine, auto transmission, power steering/brakes/windows/locks/seats, cruise, rear defrost, A/C (this needs recharging), and trailer hitch. This Jeep runs fantastic- starts immediately every time, keeps 40+ psi oil pressure at idle, shifts smoothly and consistently. No smoke. It is factory carbureted and as such is a bit cold blooded. Aside from the A/C that needs recharging, everything works great. There is no rust. Recent maintenance includes front brakes, right ball joints, oil change, drivetrain fluids, rear axle bearings, rear main seal and oil pan gasket. I will include all the records/receipts that are available. Vehicle comes from a non-smoking environment. My wife is still driving this vehicle to work, the mileage currently is less than the listed 114000, and will be under that amount at the end of the auction. This vehicle is in exceptional condition for it's age. There are some minor items that you would expect to find on a vehicle this age- a small engine oil leak,a small ding on the left hood panel, scratches on the grille and front bumper from a bike rack, loose fitting fabric on the visors, a small scrape on the passenger rear seat lower cover, a small crack on the inner tailgate top near the inner handle, and small areas of clear coat clouding on the right front fender, right rear door, and tailgate, all below the wood trim panels. I have included pictures showing these specific areas, and they do not detract from the beauty of this vehicle. The overall great condition of this Jeep is evident in the pictures. If there is a specific area you would like another picture of- please ask. I may already have one, or I will take one for you. This is truly an incredible example of the quality and character not found in vehicles today. This is why we are always complimented everywhere we go. Buyer is responsible for all transfer fees, shipping costs, and any state required inspections. Buyer is responsible for sourcing and arranging shipping. Balance due at transfer by cashiers check or wire transfer, must be within 7 days. All payment must be cleared before vehicle is released. Vehicle is sold "As Is" with no warranty expressed or implied. All descriptions are provided to the best of my knowledge. I have received several requests for more pictures, so I have created a Photobucket album that contains all the pictures I have. This includes pictures of the engine compartment and door jambs, and also there are some Fall Color "Glamor Shots" from when we drove home after our original purchase. Unfortunatley after several tries it appears external links are not supported. If you go to Photobucket and search for the photos by Randyzzzcustoms you can view the pictures. If you wish I can EMail you a link also.
