Vehicle Detail
This car is a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 that rolled out of the factory with a 351 2 barrel paired with an automatic transmission. I have spent the last four years working on this project. I started with a rusted shell, sanded grinded and removed rust and 40 years of muck, then I replaced the floor pans, quarter panels, taillight panel, the battery box apron, and the apron where the hood hinge mounts, front and rear valances and a new trunk lid. I refurbished the doors and hood from a parts car. It also got new quarter panel extensions, headlight buckets, hood hinges, steering cyclinders, disc brakes all around (new lines ran), tail light bezels, tail light wiring harness. I had the underdash harness professionally refurbished. I have a weatherstrip kit from CJ Pony Parts. I replaced the worn out rearend gears with 4.55. I have new powersteering hoses that arent installed yet. Completely new suspension with with everything from the A-arms to the shocks and sway bar. It has brand new 18 inch American Racing Shelby wheels and tires with zero miles on them. I also bought two seperate bolt kits so all of the hardware is new and still have a lot of the kits left. I also bought a new plug/ grommet kit. it has new door strikers and door handles.I have a complete 1989 5.0 with an AOD transmission and another 86 block with 89 heads and accessories. I have lowered the car about 2 inches also. I have the a/c dash and most of the a/c parts, both front seats, rear seat, and some other random interior parts. I have other parts and have probably left some things out. After replacing all of the panels I had a 20+ year paint and body guy fine tune everything and paint it Ford Sonic Blue. I painted everything that isnt blue with a satin black. This includes the engine bay, underneath, suspension, and rearend. I have also installed a dynamat type sound deadner in the floor. I have almost $15000 invested in this car and numerous hours. I estimated that it would take $3000-$4000 to finish this car. The a/c and interior are the only major things left to do. Im selling this because I have moved and do not have a place to work on it. I do not currently have a title in hand but have taken all of the appropriate steps to assure a title can be obtained. These steps included having a state trooper check the VIN, sending in the form the officer filled out, and waiting for the state to run a check to see if has been reported stolen. The state of Arkansas has sent me the paper work need to purchase a bonded title. The next step is to purchase the bond and finish the process with the state. This is not a Barrett Jackson car but it would make an awesome daily driver and would definately win a trophy or two at a local car show. I can take any pictures needed just let me know.
