You are Bidding on: A very nice, un-touched un-molested un-restored 1968 CL175 "Sloper" Engine in the original paint color - Candy Orange First, I will post more pictures tomorrow or email me for more This bike is a true time capsule and is a one owner bike. These "Sloper " engine 175s were only built one year and are very RARE and sought after, especially in as original preserved condition as this one is. I bought it from an estate sale that was selling for the original owner who recently died of natural causes. It has the original tires, new battery, and original chain. The only thing missing are the front turn signals which are very common and easy to replace. All the paint on the bike is original and un-touched in anyway and is in great condition with only a few minor flaws. The tank has a couple of minor chips in it shown in my pictures. Otherwise, the paint on the tank is un faded and still has a nice shine to it. Personally, I would leave it as is, because its only original once :) The inside of the tank is like new with no rust at all, nice and shiny. The side covers are near mint as well. The speedometer is in excellent condition and works fine, with no fading which is typical for these bikes. It absolutely looks new. The chrome and polished aluminum are in great condition with minor patina, Again I would leave it as is. The seat is in great condition with no rips or tears. The piping is a little yellowed which is common for these bikes. The bike has the original California title and the original Black California Plate which is very cool for you California bidders. The bike will run, kicks over, it has good compression and the tranny goes thru the gears, but the carbs need to be gone thru and an overall tune up is needed.The bike has sitting for 40 years in a dark weather tight garage, so it needs fresh gas, tune up etc.By the way, the little bit of gas that is in it still smells like gas, although I have no idea how old it is.I can preform these things at an additional cost if the winner of this auction requests it.For the purpose of preserving the bike as it was found, I have chosen not to change anything, other than providing a new battery (uninstalled). I have added pictures as you can see.As explained in my original description, overall the bike is in really nice condition.The chrome is pitted but still shiny.The tank is very clean inside and has minor flaws in the paint and a tiny dimple at the top left corner. I tried to show it in the pictures.The hand grips and shifter rubber need replacing, as they have cracks in them.The speedometer looks like new and the bike only has 4324 original miles on it.The only other items that show wear or damage is the rear brake lever is bent, and the foot peg rubbers are missing, and the right engine cover is scratched.
