1970 Pontiac Firebird, Purchased new at Mechum Pontiac, Glendale Az., only dealership to build the macho trans am"s in the 80"s. Believe it or not this is an old ladies car. The title is still in her name. The car has been off the road for quite a few years. With a bit of work I was able to get it running. The motor is a service replacement 350, believed to have been replaced at dealership years ago (see picture for block numbers). 2bbl. carb, 350 auto. Correct coded JS wheels. Manual disk brakes, AC car. The car has an oil and temp guage installed where factory guages were, also had an alarm installed. Dont know the history on car very well but while working on it found a gold tag that says "this car made espically for" with the owners name, this name matches name on original title. Body in amazeing condition, very tiny rust bubbles at bottoms of quarters (pictured). A few tiny pinholes in trunk. Small dent on passenger side quarter panel from a tap on the rear bumper. Nose and front end perfect. Vinyl top is dry and flakeing away to reveal the perfect roof underneath. Interior is complete with correct 70 only seats, headrests missing, radio missing.The pictures speak for themselves. Overall I would bet that there's not one left out there with a body as clean as this car is, it is truely a survivor. Reserve is set low for what the car is, also for sale locally.
