Vehicle Detail
Go Back in Time with this 1982 Delorean! (Does not actually travel through time) This is a 1982 Delorean DMC-12 that was my first car, I have tons of records and receipts of all the work done to the vehicle, and it used to be my daily driver, and most recently made some appearances at some Halloween parties, and I dressed up as Marty McFly (Dream Fullfilled) and even met a Jennifer. This is NOT a $20k-$30K+ Delorean by any means, it needs work and some repair. The positive note is that it DOES run and drive, well it did until the clutch cylinder went out last week. Heres what I know. It's a low milage original PRV V6 Engine, just performed an oil change, and during Halloween I noticed it was hard to get into gear so I check the clutch resevoir and noticed it was empty, so I had brake fluid on hand and topped it off and it was fine. Noticed that it was leaking past the seal which is inside the vehicle, so this is the source of the problem. It CAN be loaded on a transport. There were no issues with the transmission before this issue, or with the clutch, it is a cylinder issue only. The interior needs help, as the Binnacle is torn but I understand this is a typical defect and can be replaced from Delorean. I have the headliner pieces but it looks like they were rewrapped, and they are dirty and not installed. The passenger window motor works but the plastic track is broken (part of the motor and can be replaced) the driverside works but gets frozen, typical problem and can be replaced. The passenger door is sticking, problem with the latch, and can also be fixed, no issue with the torsion bar at all. There is a small dent on the rear quarter panel, driver side (see picture) and the air vent below has been modified to accomidate a power antenna. There is no stereo in the vehicle at this time, I removed it. The doors need weatherstripping seals as they were removed from the previous owner. The air conditioning works, however there is a leak and loses charge after a few months. The front bumper on the passengerside is splitting, and one of the headlight brackets got damaged and could be replaced easily. The Facia's need repainting. The car needs a bit of help and I am pricing it fairly for what I feel it's worth in it's current condition, but I am open to all reasonable offers.
