Incredible custom Cafe Racer - The Honduki - is back on the market. Built by MotoHangar of Virginia, this custom bike has won numerous awards and been featured on dozens of motorcycle sites and magazines. It's a one-of-a-kind bike that looks even better in person. It starts right up and runs like a tiger. I am selling it below it's real value because I need to move soon and next location will not allow me to ride. The Honduki is based on a 1975 Suzuki GT550 ‘to give you a little flash back’ Suzuki introduced a trio of three-cylinder two-strokes in 1972: the air-cooled triples GT380 and GT550 and the new flagship, the liquid-cooled GT750. Both of the air-cooled models featured Suzuki new-patented Ram Air cooling system that forced cool air under an aluminum shield mounted on the top of the cylinder heads.To begin with the build the stock GT550 was stripped down to the frame. The stock frame was modified; MotoHangar also added a custom subframe. At the front Honduki features Suzuki GSXR forks and Honda headlight the rear suspension has been upgraded with Kawasaki 636. All these modification lead Honduki in one direction to better handling like modern bikes.At this point Honduki started turning out as an ultimate hybrid build, parts on this build were coming from different bikes. And just when you thought that was it, the stock two strokes Suzuki GT550 engine was enhanced with Kawasaki H1 expansion chambers.The tail section of Honduki was taken from a Kawasaki GPZ and the seat of Honduki is made with Elk skin leather and sits on a fiberglass seat pan.Honduki is an incredible fusion of past and present, according to Pat “The bike handles like a modern sportbike with all the charm of a vintage two-stroke motorcycle”.All the work on Honduki was done in-house including the paint and graphics.
