Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is an extremely low mileage 1996 Jaguar XJ6 I am selling this car for a family member who no longer drives it due to health. This car was her baby and hates to see it go. She purchased the car in 2000 with 39,400 miles as a one owner vehicle from West Herr Ford in Getzville, NY. Over the past 12-1/2 years it has only been driven on sunny days averaging about 1500 miles per year for a total of only 58274 miles! It was always stored in the garage when not driven. This car was very well maintained and I have a file full of receipts and records to prove that. I am not very familiar with all of the features that come standard with Jaguars but I would have to say that I really can’t think of anything that it doesn’t have as far as options go? Leather interior, sunroof, power everything, etc. The car is in very nice shape for a 1996 and is ready to drive. I want to be honest with everyone interested by listing all of the flaws that are known- - Body- The front bumper has a scuff on the passenger front corner (shown in photo), the front passenger fender has a small door ding (not bad at all), on both sides the “dog leg” pieces in front of the back wheels have a small amount of surface rust (see photos). The remainder of the body is very solid and it appears that the car has been undercoated for protection at some point. - Electrical- The driver side power window, mirror and seat do not operate? I did some research and found that this is a very common problem with the XJ6. The fix would be to have the control module reset at a Jaguar dealer or worst case it may need a new relay which plugs in under the driver seat. Otherwise the car runs and drives excellent! It hasn’t been driven much at all this past year but I don’t see any reason for it not passing inspection. The service records show that the brakes were all replaced recently, new battery, and the tires are really good. Please let me know if you have any question and good luck bidding!
