Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car from a old guy's widow. He passed away before he could finish it off. This is a great chance for someone with body work and paint skills to make some good money or for someone with modest skills that can have some work performed by others and still have far less in the finished product than it will be worth. The owner was making it into a GS clone car. Everything but the body work is done. Complete chassis rebuild. All new interior. Newly rebuilt driveline. New tires, brakes, Flowmaster exhaust, etc. I will list what all has been done per his neighbor and friend that was helping him with the car, and per notes he left with his wife. Engine is a completely rebuilt 1975 Riviera 455. Has mild comp cam .450 - .490 lift and .280 - .290 duration. Poston aluminum intake. Remanufactured 800 CFM quadrate with electric choke. Rebuilt Level II street strip 350 turbo trans. B&M hole shot converter. Rebuilt 8.5" BOP heavy duty 10 bolt posi rear end. All new front suspension. New springs. New shocks. New sway bars front and rear. New disc brake conversion. Boxed control arms. New battery, belts, hoses, etc. Buick factory 15x7 ralley wheels in great shape. New Firestone Indy 500 tires. P225/70-15 on front and P325/70-15 on the rear. New seat covers and carpet. Door panels and headliner are original and very good shape. The arm rests and various other pieces of missing trim in the pictures are in boxes and come with the car. Has a new tilt steering wheel column and steering wheel. The floor pans, trunk pan, bottom of the doors, rockers, etc all all rust free originals. There is rust around both rear wheels wells down low. ( see pics for an example ) The bottom of the right front fender has rust also. Left fender appears to be OK. There is a fist size dent in the passenger door. There is also 2 extra rust and dent free doors that comes with it. A factory GS right front fender. A factory GS hood with chrome louvers. ( worth at least a $1000.00 on it's own ) Plus another standard hood. And 2 more Skylark front fenders. NOTE: If you win the bid, and are planning on having the car shipped. Shippers will probably not take all of the extra body pieces. I will switch the hood to the GS hood if you want, and throw what I can in the trunk and back seat per your direction. Paint wise: The car should be stripped down to bare metal. It had a vinyl roof, but I do not have the trim for it. It would look much better without one anyway. There are various small dents and dings here and there. Chrome is still original and very good driver quality. Stainless trim is all in great shape. Was a factory A/C car but all I have are the A/C parts that you can see in the pics. Front glass has some separation going on on the drivers side by the pillar / post. All other glass is in great shape. Doors close like new. Car drives like new and is very solid feeling. Power steering and brakes. Also have lots of repair books and manuals for this car. For those of you that may not know how this type of auction works: There is no advantage to wait until the end of the auction to place a bid or make an offer. If you are serious, the sooner you make a decission the better. You can buy it now or make me an offer. If I accept your offer, the truck is yours. If I feel you are serious, but a little low on your offer amount, I may send you a counter offer that you can ponder or accept. If I do not respond to your offer, then it is because is too low to be considered a serious offer and therefore a waste of my time. This truck is priced very reasonably, so I do not expect it to last very long. Please call before you bid for honest answers to any and all questions. I do not want any mis-understandings as to the condition of this car. Thanks, Dave 314-732-5925 Now for the business end. I encourage you, or someone you trust or hire, to come by and check the car out in person. The car will speak for itself. I will refund the deposit if the car does not match the above description. The car does not leave here until all funds clear my bank. Bank / cashiers checks can take up to 10 days. My bank will give me a letter stating the length of time for it to clear which depends on where the check is drawn from. No variances on the date they set. I will provide copy of the letter. Bank transfers are great but can take 2 days to clear depending on time of day the transfer takes place. Cash is cash and preferred if you are picking it up in person. Call me at 314-732-592five BEFORE YOU BID for honest answers to all questions.
