1957 Oldsmobile 88 Golden Rocket This is a local car that was purchased new in Knox, IN. The original dealer emblem is still on the deck lid. The original owner drove the car daily until the brakes went out in 1991. The car sat in a barn until the old man passed away and it went on to his grandson. It remained in his possession until I purchased the car in the spring with intent to restore it. Plans have changed and my loss is now your gain. The car is 99% complete and untouched. The only thing I see missing is the hub caps. All the seats are intact and the all the glass is crack free. The car has the 371 Golden Rocket with 4 bbl carb and AT trans. The engine is locked from sitting for the last twenty years. The car will need some trunk work and work on the rear driver side rocker. I have included pics of the trouble spots. There is a kink in the hood at the driver side hinge.
