up for auction today is this sought after 1981 Pontiac firebird with a 301 engine I got this car from someone in FLORDIA with the intent to fix it up, but time and money is not on my side, so I am selling it to someone that can make that happen, rather than leave it set, I am not a mechanic so please ask any questions that is of a concern, I am selling this as is. I am calling it a restoration project. the car does start up and runs, it goes through all gears and moves with no hesitation. the body looks good with only pings and scratches, no major dents. the frame looks good and solid with some surface rust, the passenger side door sticks and sometimes hard to open, all the lights on the car work as well as the heater and wipers, (no radio) the real work is on the interior of the car, there are no door panels or headliner, and some things missing on the dash, the seats are ripped and stained. the motor seems to run fine. there is a noise in the power steering but it might be low on fluid. there is 133505 miles on it with a clear title. it has 14 inch aluminum 5 bolt wheels and low profile 14 inch tires. if they are good for state inspection its not my call, if you are looking for this car now is the time to grab it, a steal at the buy it now price. buyer is responsible for all shipping and or pick up cost. a 500 dollar deposit through paypal is required within 48 hours of auctions end, and the balanced due at shipping and or pick up. please view the photos and email with any questions, I will add new photos daily to help with the description, so if you have one in mind let me know, thanks for stopping by and good luck bidding.On Nov-28-12 at 14:33:22 PST, seller added the following information: the rust showing in the trunk and motor is a bad case of surface rust, everything is still solid.On Dec-01-12 at 07:23:59 PST, seller added the following information: yes it is a fiberglass hood. thanks
