Vehicle Detail
If you have been waiting for a special Healey, I think your search is over. Take a look at this very special low mileage, really spectacular BJ8, with only one original owner. She bought it new, put the top down at the dealership, and never put it back up. She drove it in perfect weather, summers only, at her vacation home in Maine. 1992 is the last time before last week, that it was driven. I spent the last nine months cleaning off the Ziebart rust proofing, that was applied when new, so it has virtually no rust anywhere. I was very careful, not to upset or remove the original factory seam sealer, used at all points throughout this great Healey. When is the last time you saw an original exhaust system with the crimpt corners on the front muffler, on a big Healey. Most people never have. The upholstery is completely original, including the door seals and gray cloth covered top seal. look at the heater controls, with all of the original lettering still in place. The push Knob for the heater was always the first to wear off, and you can still read it clearly. The original piping on all of the seats is still clear and and showing the silver cord underneath, which most thought was golden in color, which only appeared that way from yellowing from exposure to sunlight. The top is flawless Everflex, as is the tonneau cover. The tonneau bones, stowed in its armorchord cover, has never been removed, even by me, I'll let you be the one. The tool kit bag is perfect, and the original lead hammer, looks to have only been used once. The original jack still has the black fabrick strap, that attaches to the left rear bumper bracket. The original working brake booster is still in place, and was just rebuilt, and most of all still has the unobtainable textured vaccume hose, with its original unique fastener, at the intake manifold. I have cleand all of the original bolts, fasteners, clips, and screws, so it is ready to score a Gold Award at the next National Healey event, that I'm willing to assist the next owner, through that experience, as I already have. All of the hydrolics are new or rebuilt, and it runs and drives as it did when new, much better and more solid than a restoration, that always needs weeks of sorting out, that in my mind never seems to measure up to this one. I have taken over 150 pictures, and can only post eBays limit of 24, so if you need a specific photo that you don't see here, just ask, and I'll send it along, and please include an email address, so I can attach, and please be specific, considering the time it will take to attach them all. I've set the reserve for much less than it's worth, to make it interesting. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. As some of you can see, I'm relisting because of a non paying winning bidder, that has never made an ebay purchase of this size, and is overwhelmed with the process of completing the transaction. He has asked me to let him out of the sale, and has said that it was him, and not me, or the car, and to relay his request to future bidders, and that he is open to communicating this issue, with any of you if needed. For those of you with less than 5 positive transactions on eBay, should contact me first to let me know your intentions. Thanks again, and enjoy the show
