Up for bid in this auction is a 2004 Ford Taurus SES. This Ford Taurus is equipped and automatic transmission and 3.0 Liter V-6 engine. The exterior is beige/gold and the interior color is medium parchment (tan). This Taurus has recently under gone a complete Virginia State inspection which it passed without any defects or issues. This Taurus has: 4 brand new tires. A new battery. A new alternator. A new serpentine belt. A fresh complete service. We have not gone to this length to give anyone a sales pitch for this car. We have only done this to give a prospective bidder a better understanding of a car that they may or may not choose to bid on. We are listing this car for one of our sons. He has gone off to college in Richmond, VA and since he will be living on campus he no longer has need for a vehicle. Except for normal wear-and-tear this car for its age is in good shape. It starts and runs good! I would not hesitate or be concerned in any way about taking it on a long trip to anywhere. On the day of this listing this Taurus has 171,366 original miles on it. We have spent a lot of money and made every attempt to make sure that it is in the best reliable and mechanical condition we could. We have recently had it inspected here in Virginia and it passed with no problems and/or issues.As you can see in one of the photos this car has an up to date Virginia State inspection sticker on it. Keep in mind that this is a nice 2004 and not a new 2013. This car has a few scratches and small dents around on the body. As you can see in some of the photos the largest dent is on the driver’s door. The dent in the driver’s door is approx. the size of some ones fist. This car still looks good and as you can see in some of the photos the interior is in pretty nice shape also. This car start’s, runs and drives really nice and smooth. The transmission shifts good like it should. The engine does not smoke, tap or knock! All of the lights work as they should. The cruise control works like it should. The heater/defroster works good like it should. The AM/FM radio and CD player work good as they should. All of the power windows work as they should. All of the power door locks work good as they should. The keyless entry for all doors and the trunk work like they should. The power front seat works like it should. All four of the wheels ABS brakes are in good shape and work as they should. The only known mechanical deficiency and/or problem with this car is that approx. 9 months ago the bearing went bad in this cars A/C compressor. Our son took this car to a nearby garage for repair when the A/C compressor starting making a whining noise. The shop he went to did not have a compressor in stock that would fit a Ford Taurus and so they would have had to order one which would have taken a few days to get. At the time the shop did have in stock a direct replacement Ford bracket/pulley that they could install to replace the Taurus A/C compressor. Our son had them go ahead and install the Ford bracket/pulley so that he could get his car back on the road. If anyone wanted to have A/C in this car they would have to have an A/C compressor installed. Other then the A/C not working we are not aware of any other issues or problems with this cars mechanical condition. HOPEFULLY, YOU CAN TELL BY OUR E-BAY FEEDBACK SCORE WE ARE HONEST PEOPLE.
