Vehicle Detail

This is a 1965 Mustang Coupe that is a one family, two owner car that I am selling for a friend. The car was bought new in San Diego California in the spring of 1965 by my friends mother. Upon her passing, he inherited the car in 1978. This car has a 289 cubic inch engine, a 2 barrel carburetor, and a alternator. It has a Cruise a matic (automatic) transmission, with manual steering, and manual brakes. The car is a factory radio delete model, and has never had an antenna installed. It has a remote control rear view mirror that looks factory, but may have been dealer installed. This is a 90% (I'm guessing) orginal paint car. It has a couple areas that have been touched up, but nothing you wouldn't expect on a 47 year old car. To our knowledge the car has never been wrecked, and is not rusty. It has an orginal untouched black interior, orginal chrome on the bumpers, an orginal mat, and spare in the trunk. All the glass is excellent, and the windows roll up, and down with ease. The carpets are also orginal and are slightly faded. The car has 54,541 miles on it. For you Mustang guys I got this information off the factory ID plate in the door jam. Body 65A, Color 3, Trim 26, Date 09Q, DSO 71, Axle 6, Trans 6, and the VIN number. My friend seldom uses the car, and feels it is time to let someone else enjoy this virgin, untouched, California Black license plate Mustang. He has a clear California title in his name. We do want to stress that this is NOT a restored car. It has very minor wear, a very minor chip here and there, and minor maintenance. Please don't expect 100 point perfection. This is a very nice unrestored, unabused, unviolated, 1965 Mustang. We encourage your inspection prior to the purchase of the car. You can contact me between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM Pacific Time at 619-820-2102 or send me an e-mail through Ebay. I will answer all your questions. We will accept cash, and Cashiers Checks, however all checks must clear prior to delivery of the car. We request that the transaction be done in our bank to keep everybody safe and secure. Good Luck!On Nov-24-12 at 14:19:40 PST, seller added the following information: I spent several hours looking the Mustang over today, and found a couple things that should be disclosed. The automatic transmission shifter works fine, but feels very loose. I'll bet there's parts that need to be tightened, and nylon bushings replaced. It has a reproduction gas tank. Apparently the orginal one got varnished inside from stinky gas, and lack of operation. I said the bumpers had orginal chrome. I discovered the bumpers have been replated in the 70's. The front bumper has some hammer marks on the inside from the plater. My friend (the owner) said he sent them in exchange to a bumper plating service to get new shiney chrome. The owner has told me over and over that this car has never been wrecked. His mom drove it untill her death, so the car is not perfect. This still is a very nice 47 year old Mustang. I don't have a lift and find it difficult to take meaningful pictures under the car. I have inspected the sub rails, floor boards, inside the trunk, down in the quarter panels etc. there is no evidence of rust at all. Thanks! On Nov-27-12 at 17:14:19 PST, seller added the following information: There has been a significant reduction in the reserve price on this car. Thanks
