Rare Volvo 240 Classic Limited Edition #1398 of 1600! Collectors take notice! Only 1600 classics were ever made. Of those only 4 were manual 5 speed wagons . And of those 4, this one is believed to be the only one with a Volvo Sunroof!! This was a special order, original owner went to Sweden to get it. One of a kind!! This car spent its life between NJ and Florida. It was owned by an elderly doctor who drove it very little. Im second owner, I just brought it to New England this fall. Excellent Condition, runs great, would drive it cross country any day. It has low miles, always garaged, everything works as it should except ac. Clean carfax, I never registered it, so it still shows as one owner. Interior is immaculate, was very well cared for. No cracks in dash. It has all Volvo service stamps completed at Volvo dealer up through 110k. Timing belt was changed at 105k. Has current inspection sticker. Comes with extra classic rim and new michelin tire. Also included is the very rare cargo mat. Only minor items are the AC needs a recharge (134 not expensive r12). Sunroof is off track so I keep it closed, does not leak. Side plastic map pocket is cracked. Drivers seat seam is starting to go in one place, but still in very nice shape. Odometer shows 109k, it stopped working in 2008, I estimate it has around 120-125k max. I bought this to have in my collection, but I recently moved and no longer have garage storage. It was just grease on it, so I took a better pic and posted it. There is no rust on the strut mounts.On Nov-20-12 at 13:42:49 PST, seller added the following information: I added 3 pics by request- 1 to better show the color, it is green not black. 2 for the underneath, I will try to get better shots tomorrow. I called and asked my mechanic, who had it on the lift previously, if he saw any rust issues. He said it had very little rust underneath, especially for the year. Non on floor pans or frame. He did say there was some minor rust on exhaust hangers and bolts. I will try to get more pics.On Nov-21-12 at 07:47:31 PST, seller added the following information: I brought the Volvo in to get a complete check this morning. I want to make sure it is ready for the next owner. He said it looked good but to be safe he suggested replacing the ball joints and tie rod end. So I just put in new ball joints, tie rod end and alignment. Car is ready to go.On Nov-21-12 at 08:54:37 PST, seller added the following information: I do have extensive Repair Records printout from Volvo Dealership verifying dates and mileage. It verifies odometer failed in 2008. Repair records go from new to April 2012. I can send it anyone who requests them.
