Vehicle Detail

The original owner ordered the truck as a 4x4 single rear wheel and had it converted to a dually. (To the best of our knowledge the dually kit is a Continental). He installed the hidden hitch in the bed as he pulled a gooseneck trailer for his mobile mechanic's business until health issues forced force him to retire. The original owner drove the truck for the first 48,000 miles. The second owner drove the truck until it had approximately 65,000 miles on it when we purchased it. He used the truck to occasionally pull small trailers and as a daily driver. Both the first and second owners lived in Colorado. We hauled our pick up camper and pulled a trailer with the truck so I had the suspension modified - additional leafs were added to the front and rear spring packs. I also installed the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 which included a dual-gauged on-board air compressor system ($900). When the camper is not on the truck the ride is firm. I installed a Banks PowerPack kit with exhaust brake, the ultimate power system for towing and work ($4,600). The manufacturer claims an improvement of 120 HP/256lb.fts over the stock numbers. Feel free to visit www.bankspower.com for details. Nothing was changed internally on the 7.3L. One of the nice features of this kit is the intercooler; a solid operational improvement. This generation of Navistar/Powerstroke engine did not come from the factory with an intercooler. The E4OD transmission was upgraded to compliment the improved engine performance. (I have a detailed receipt for the transmission work I can scan and email you ($4,500). The only internal engine mod I considered was an upgrade to the injectors one level, which the transmission was designed to handle. (Note: injector upgrade never occurred). Hard to find 4x4 dually, Crew Cab, Powerstroke with low mileage (98,200 miles) Well maintained. Non-smokers truck. Grey Interior. Standard XLT package. Power left/right side mirrors. Clean upholstery, seats, carpets, headliner, with no cracks in dash. Amsoil synthetic used in the engine since 70K. Air Conditioner works great. Front disc replaced with slotted discs. AirRaid ram air kit. 4" downcomer/turbine outlet pipe with Banks exhaust brake. High performance catalytic converter. AeroTurbine muffler. Front Bushwacker fender flares. Bug shield. Window drip guards. 2-Speed transfer case shifter is on the floor. Manual locking hubs. Crew cab (seats 6). Two factory fuel tanks. Nerf bar running boards.Aluminum Rims.Hidden Gooseneck Hitch. Rubber bed mat. Clean and clear title. Our truck is a 1996, the paint has chips and the usual signs of everyday wear and tear but is still in great condition. We have done our best to capture those items in the pictures. Our truck is also for sale locally and we reserve the right to cancel this bidding process at any time. The truck is sold as is, where is, no warranty. Our truck as offered, has no receiver hitch. I pulled our SuperHitch and the quick draw camper tie downs. We have a 42" SuperTruss extension, a second set of carpeted floor mats, front seat sheepskin seat cover, and a waterproof seat cover for the rear seat available. If you are interested let me know as these items would be a separate negotiation. We found this truck on eBay in 2006 and purchased the truck from the second owner. This body style is a classic in my opinion, I searched for several years to find a 4x4 dually in great shape. If you have taken the time to search for this generation of Powerstroke and read this short story, you will know how rare these bad boys are. The day I drove this truck from Colorado to Idaho, I had a permanent grin from ear to ear for a long time. I realize it's time for us to let this truck go and I hope I see the same smile on the face of the winning bidder when he pulls away from our home. Good luck! Craig & Sally More photos at:
