Up for bid is a 1959 Chevy short bed 1/2 ton pick-up with a small back window. It has a 235-6 cylinder engine, newly rebuilt, with less than 10,000 miles on it. The transmission is a 4 speed low, granny tranny. The clutch works great and the engine runs strong. The brakes work perfect. All the gauges on the truck work, it has new wiper arms and wiper blades. There is a box of miscellaneous parts that come with the truck. It has the wrong carbeurator on it so the throttle and choke are not connected, but the right carbeurator is in the box of stuff on the passenger seat floorboard. It needs a re-build kit and will be good as new. The lights and turn signals all work great. The only thing that does NOT work are the interior lights. It has new tires on it, only about 500 miles on them. I do believe it is an old military truck by some of the decals on the windows that is why it does not have the original California black plates. The wood panels in the bed were removed at some point and replaced with metal but in good condition. There is a small crack in the drivers window and some laminate is coming off of the glass. This truck is 99% rust free. There is some minor surface rust and rust bubbles on the cab corner on the drivers side. There is also some wierd "repair" on the inside of the passenger door that cannot be seen from the outside. This is not a show truck, but it has the potential. It would be a great truck for Grandpa's daily driver. This truck is VERY dependable. It has a few bumps and bruises, but it is 53 years old. The dash still has the radio delete plate, and has a working AM/FM radio under the dash. The truck is currently registered until July 2013, the title is clear with the pink in hand.
