IN NATURAL DISASTERS SUCH AS THIS....THE STANDARDS FOR DECLARING A TOTAL LOSS BECOME MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE BASED THAT DAMAGE VALUE BASED. AS MY ADJUSTER BUDDY JOKED..IF THEY SAID THE WORD "WATER"...ASK THE INSURED WHERE THEY WANT THEIR CHECK SENT! THIS EXTENT OF DAMAGE THIS SILVERADO SAW WAS EXTREMELY MINOR- WAS DRIVEN DOWN SOME WATER COVERED ROADS AND BARELY BARELY GOT SOME CARPET WET. I BOUGHT IT 100% RUNNING & DRIVING...NO FUNNY SMELLS, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS, NO STORIES, EVERYTHING 100% FULLY FUNCTIONAL!! MY DETAIL SHOP REMOVED THE ENTIRE INTERIOR, SHAMPOOED & STEAM CLEANED CARPETS AS WELL AS PAD- & TREATED EVERYTHING ELSE! THE FEW ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ON THE FLOOR WERE TREATED AS WELL. THERE WAS NEVER SO MUCH AS A HINT OF WATER SMELL... AND NEVER WILL BE! THIS TRUCK HAS ONLY HAD 1 OWNER AND IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP. THE EXTERIOR OF THIS TRUCK IS IN GREAT CONDITION. CARFAX AND AUTOCHECK VERIFY THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OF ANYKIND AND ALL THE BODY LINES MATCH UP PERFECTLY. ALL THE ELECTRONICS AND POWER FEATURES WORK PERFECTLY. THE A/C IS ICE COLD AND THE HEATER IS TOASTY WARM. THE BOSE STEREO SYSTEM SOUNDS CRISP AND CLEAN AND LETS YOU LISTEN TO YOUR FAVORITE SONG AS LOUD AS YOU WANT! IT ALSO HAS XM SATELLITE RADIO THAT AT THE TIME OF PICTURE TAKING IS STILL ACTIVE!!
