Here for sale is a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertable, with an numbers matching drivetrain, 289 V8 and a three speed manual transmission with a working factory equilock limited slip rear diff. 82k Original miles!!! This mustang is in unrestored un-molested condition!! It was my mothers car purchaced from the second owner in the early 80s. It was re painted the original Wimbledon white and it still is rust free today but has some minor surface imperfections as in a few chips and a few small dings. very minor stuff. The undercarriage shows its age but the floorboards are firm and there is no major cancer/rot anywhere. This car is 100% complete and not missing anything, it even still has the factory rubber bag for the windshield washer fluid. The engine has never been rebuilt and fires right up every time, does not burn oil or smoke or knock and she has spent the last two decades in a heated and carpeted storage facility. I inherited this car from my mother years ago and dont have the time to do anything with it and it needs to go to a good home rather than just sit in the back of my garage. I recently replaced all the engines hoses and put a new waterpump on because the bearing in the old pump was making noise. I drive it to work (15 miles each way) roughly once a month and its a great drive!! It pulls slightly to the right and could use an alignment but other than that shes good to go! There is a slight front pump seal leak, very slow and only leave a small dribble if it sits for a long time. Like I mentioned she starts up great runs smooth and is a peppy little car when you open her up! The convertable top has seen better days but is not what id consider bad, It does not leak if it rains anyway. The interior is almost immaculate with the teal/white pony upholstry, a small tear in the upper driver seat (Pic) and a crack in the dash are the majority of it. As Ive mentioned before this is a complete car all the way down to the factory spare in the trunk! I have litterally put less than 1000 miles on this car in the last 10 years that it has been in my posestion.. Other than a few minor things you can take this car and drive it everyday! The brakes were redone in the early 2001 and the tires were put on shortly after but do not show any signs of dry rot and are still at 95% tread life and hold air great! The convertable top is manual and its a non power steering or power brake car. Clean title in hand, dont miss this chance for a great driver or save yourself the hassle of restoring a lesser intact car when you have a perfect COMPLETE base to work with right here! All of the gauges work as they should, the horn and AM radio also work in case you were wondering.
