Vehicle Detail
1973 Plymouth Duster Base Model. Vehicle was originally a 318 and now has a 360 out of a mid 1980's Dodge truck that was put in the car around 2006 and still have the receipt for the engine replacement by a professional shop at over $3,000. The motor is stock with Edelbrock intake manifold and Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor. Several hoses have been replaced recently along with the alternator and power steering pump. The vehicle starts but, does not drive down the road, it wants to "spit and sputter" and die immediately once you put it in drive, otherwise it fires right up and seems to run just fine. It is possibly the ignition control module connector that needs replaced due to moisture and corrosion from sitting for so many years or I have been told possibly the torque converter. The car has been sitting since approximately 2007 and only driven around the block over the last year due to the "sputtering" problem once it is placed into drive. The vehicle appears to have the original green paint and white striping, the rally rims were taken off another Duster and put on this one. The front tires are brand new however the back ones need replaced and are beginning to dry rot from age. The interior is in very good condition except for several tears along the edge of the driver's seat. The car still has the original radio but, it does not work. This car is a true survivor with minimal rust, it does have normal dings from being a daily driver many years ago. The trunk is extremely solid with minimal surface rust and the floor pans are all in phenomenal solid condition. Neither front or rear windshield is cracked and all chrome trim pieces and bumpers are in great shape. The car is as solid as it gets for being a survivor that was driven the majority of its life. The previous owner stated it was a former west coast car which would account for the minimal surface rust in a few spots. The car is believed to have the original automatic transmission and vinyl top. The exhaust (single pipe) is also newer but rusty from sitting for the last 5 years or so. With a new paint job and some TLC such as shocks, rear tires, brakes, and normal maintenance items this car would be an easy project once the "spitting and sputtering" is fixed!!! These are getting harder to find in this type of true solid original condition!!! Payment is due within 4 days of auction end and the the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Pay-Pal will be accepted or cash during pick up, no other payment types will be accepted. I will not transport this vehicle in order to ship it, buyer would be responsible for the vehicle being picked up from me if they want a shipping company to pick it up. The vehicle is being sold as is, no warranty, and no returns or refunds. The exact mileage of the vehicle is unknown and the working odometer currently reads 56674. Don't miss out on this truly solid mopar!!! Car also has rear window defroster, dual side mirrors, and storage compartment between back seat and trunk that folds down.
