1958 Chevy 1/2 ton Pickup Here is a nice restorable truck. All glass is good with no cracks or chips. All the trim is there and in great shape. This truck does run and runs great. The previous owner was in the process of installing a small block V-8 in it but never got it done, he started to remove hoses, fuel lines etc. but thats all the further he got. I put a battery in it, filled the float bowl with fuel and she fired right up and runs good and is a strong running 235. So it wouldn't take much to make this truck driveable without restoring it. It could use the brakes gone thru as the pedal is soft from sitting. The body is solid for the most part. All the inner structure is nice and solid with no rust that I can see, firewall, floorboards, rockers, inner fenders etc. The drivers door hinge pocket is broke and has been welded a time or two, so it will need to be fixed right to make the door swing right. Other than that, the body is in really decent condition for the trucks age. Has a couple of rust areas as you can see in the pics, lower fender, and on the common cab corners. This truck comes with an extra set of paintable headlight doors, new mirrors, a replacement hood emblem, and a bellhousing for a small or big-block chev engine. Everything is there that I can see, with the exception of the tailgate. All of the hard to find parts are here and in great shape. The grill is original and in excellent condition, you won't find many in this nice of shape. The front signal lenses are still like new. This would make a great candidate for a street rod project or restoration project. The clutch is solid, the steering seems to be tight, and the under carriage is solid. With a brake job and a few hoses, maybe a couple belts and this truck could be on the road. The truck comes with a bill of sale, and will need to be titled in your state.
