Vehicle Detail
THIS IS A RELIST AS THE SUPPOSED LOCAL BUYER DIDN'T FOLLOW THROUGH WITH A DEPOSIT. Up for your bidding pleasure is my family's 1988 BMW e30 Hennarot M3. As BMW enthusiasts know, the e30 M3 is considered to be not only one of the company's finest creations - but one of the most exciting daily drivers ever built. Built as a homologation vehicle, it's as close to a race car as you could get for the street at the time. This particular model is finished in original hennarot with oyster/tan leather. no dash cracks and leather is in great condition. The car comes with all original features available - trip computer, upgraded stereo with BMW CD changer, pw windows pw locks sunroof etc. This car has not been tracked by me but does come with a top quality rear roll bar (bolted in not welded), professionally installed and well concealed (read: it doesn't stand out or get in the way of rear passenger room. the vehicle also has the original seatbelts as well as racing harnesses. The car is chipped (I believe it is a Dinan chip), fitted with a supersprint exhaust, cross drilled rotors, euro head and tail lights, short shifter and strut stress bar. This was done out of the belief that we would (father and son) track the car at Road Atlanta (we lived in GA at the time) but once we discovered how few of these are out there in unmolested condition, are thoughts changed - it has been a true garage queen for 7+ years, only making several short trips and the occasional visit to German Auto works in Delray Beach for service. Major hoses were changed as were any things that stood out (6 mos. ago) and the tires have only a few thousand miles (Toyos). The wheels were upgraded to 17" honeycombs by the previous owner but I would recommend getting the orig. 15" for the car as the spacers on the vehicle aren't perfect. The orig. steering wheel and shifter where replaced by this gentleman as well in favor of the momo variety (again I would refit with orig. equipment). BMW car cover included. There are several inconsequential small (less than a cm) road rash chips on the front spoiler -- 6 maybe? the headliner is perfect with the exception of the drivers side corner of the sunroof -- it has come unglued right at the corner but easily fixed (as was insinuated by a previous bidder -- no it doesn't nor hasn't leaked) -- behind the gas pedal is a small hole in the carpet (the only carpet wear) from an aftermarket pedal kit that stuck into it. Those have been removed and the area isn't noticable as it's under the floormat and 3/4" inch in diameter -- stock floormats are not included. A few detailed pics. one shows the loose corner on the sunroof -- then I show how mint the remaining headliner is, I have detailed the very minute and almost unnoticable rock chips (less than ten on the spoiler) and a paint repair on the door jam. Please note -- there is no run on this vehicle. I also forgot to mention the air blows very hard but isn't cold -- I am guessing it needs a retrofit or recharging. the trip computer pic shows it only has washer fluid as an error. As an aside, I am taking the car to German Auto Works in Delray Beach this week for a once over. I will provide any work orders to the buyer. In addition, the car has all manuals and they are in new condition. All in all, a very small investment in the oem parts mentioned and slight nitpicky cosmetics and the car would be one of a kind and command the $30k+ figure top notch examples are commanding. I was laid off three months ago, hence the sale. UPDATE: AS NOTED and as a precautionary measure, I had the car dropped off at German Auto Works in Delray Beach for a once over. After a thorough inspection, the car needed little to be up to spec mechanically: new flex plate, new transmission mount, new cooling hose and clamp, a complete service and window lift fix. After a full inspection, the tech said there was no need for a compression check as there was no sign of anything amiss, other than the items mentioned -- this will all be in writing and the receipt provided to new owner. In addition, I found the Extended Workshop Manual on CD which will also be included. I have the clear title in hand. the car, though titled in GA was never registered in GA due to the supersprint exhaust. the car is now in my Boca garage. Buyer responsible for shipping. I will not close the deal thru Paypal for obvious fee reasons. $500 non-refundable deposit required within 24hrs Full payment expected with 7 days.
