Vehicle Detail
1928 Chevy Pickup Here is a nicely done chevy pickup restored to original specs. This truck was worked on for 25 yrs by a man who was very precise about his work and paid very close attention to detail. He is now 92 yrs old and unable to complete his project so now it is being offered to someone to finish and enjoy. All the hard stuff is done and is ready to be assembled. All of the bodywork is 100% done and done right. you won't believe how straight this truck is. The original motor is completely rebuilt and ready to go. This alone took over $5000.00 to have done. All the fenders, splash aprons, etc. are painted and ready also. We have every nut and bolt for this truck. Everything is bagged and labeled nicely. The only things needed to complete this truck would the front windshield glass and the back window glass, but the frames are here with the truck. Also there is an unbelievable amount of extra parts that go with the sale of this truck, to include 3 extra frames or chassis. Extra motors, transmissions, front and rear axles, wheels, and too many other parts to lists. The chassis for this truck is already assembled and is a rolling chassis, transmission is mounted and ready for the motor. This is a very rare and hard to find truck and a nicely restored piece of history. This truck will make someone a very nice addition to their collection or a nice weekend driver. The pictures don't do it justice as the body on this truck is so clean and straight and IS ALL STEEL with the exception of the top of the cab which is done very nice in fiberglass with a new wood frame and supports underneath. I think most of the body may be new steel as we could not find any bondo areas with a magnet. This is definitely the nicest truck of its age I have ever seen. Don't let it get away as there aren't many of them left. We have a clear original 1928 Title for the truck plus and additional title for one of the extra chassis, everything goes as one sale and won't be split up or sold separately. Winning bidder gets it all. This is one sweet package. I will be adding more pictures soon. The box to this truck is the only thing left to need restoring, it is all there but needs the wood to be replaced. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements, but I will assist with anything I can. The truck will not be released until paid in full and all funds have cleared the bank. Any questions just ask and I will answer the best I can, and thanks for looking. Good Luck. On Nov-12-12 at 12:57:12 PST, seller added the following information: I have added more pictures that show more of the truck, the pics of the boxes in the shed are boxes of all the smaller stuff. the picture of the chassis has regular tires on it for moving it around. the wood spoke wheels are in one of the pics of the extra parts in the trailer. There are so many parts and extra parts that go with this package, it is very hard to get all of them in pics, but let me say again that we have 99% of everything needed to assemble this truck. The front axle is already assembled including the brakes and is wrapped in plastic ready to mount to the frame. Steering column, the same way, all restored and painted, ready to mount. The man who was restoring this truck had most of the work done and was to the point of putting it together, when his health and age prevented him from going any further on it. He spent a ton of hours and even more in money restoring this truck over a period of 25 yrs. Once again the pics don't do it justice as to the detail and quality of the workmanship he put into it. The reserve is very conservative considering the value of this truck once its finished. Thanks again for looking, hope this helps with any questions.
