1955 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery Two Door Panel Wagon. This body style is rare enough, but try finding one with the natural patina look! No it's not Gypsy Red with 20 coats of clear (how many WERE built that way?) What it is , is an old authentic '60's Gasser style rod! Yes it is a true D code sedan delivery with one piece rear hatch Look it over This Delivery had one owner for over forty years. When we acquired the car, it had not been on the road since the eighties. It now runs and drives great as you can see in the videos. Other than the new lower front fenders and valance pan, the body is in as found condition with solid floors, under-body floor braces, inner and outer rockers etc. The body has no rust through on the outside or underneath. The only rust worth mentioning is in the spare tire well ( where a rat obviously lived for a long time) , the rear bumper guards,and some small holes on the bottom of the rear hatch door which could easily be repaired or just leave it and drive! the front suspension looks and feels good (upper ball joints are the factory originals......still riveted in) Also has a few old bondo skim patches which are peeling off to show minor oil can dents that could have been hammered out. There are various and sundry shallow dents here and there but the body over all is very straight. The car has loads of character. Here are the specs including everything we have done to the car to bring it back to life. New Fuel System front to back including brand new Edelbrock 600 Cfm Manual choke carburetor, fuel hose, filter, fuel tank and sender. Only thing not replaced was metal fuel line. Was told the engine is a 327 Corvette unit with single peak (power pack) heads. Mickey Thompson Valve covers, New Distributor, Plugs, points , wires, ballast resistor ( have not run numbers to verify, but runs great and runs cool)Radiator rodded out and pressure tested New BatteryNew Starter New brake shoes, wheel cylinders, rebuilt master cylinder,some brake hardware is new, and hosesMuncie 4 speed (model unknown....have not run numbers but case looks to be aluminum) Clutch feels strong with lots of meat yet on the disc Vintage Hurst Shifter with reverse lock -outTraction bars with new bumpers New shocksVintage Keystone 5 spoke mags on front with new tires 14" Vintage Ansen style aluminum kidney bean slots on the rear with newish tires 15".wheels were cleaned ,polished and fronts were repainted Chevelle bucket seatsWindshield and door windows are cracked. The doors will need new fur channels, and the rear window needs a new rubber gasket. We will include a new windshield rubber seal with the car, and can actually have all the glass work done for the new buyer at additional costInterior has old door panels and wood in the cargo area.......no back seat. Deliverys did not come with a back seat.Running lights are working.
