Vehicle Detail
This is an original 1969 Dodge Dart SWINGER. It is not running and needs COMPLETE restoration..The original automatic transmission is gone, as is the original 340 v8. The original 8 3/4 rear end was swapped out with a smaller one from a 6 cylinder car. This is a rolling shell, and has been stored for restoration, INSIDE, since 2005, but never progressed. The owner who had it running had an accident, which damaged the front sheet metal and lower engine cradle. The inner structure of this car, such as the cowl, rear frame rails, etc is usually the rusted out parts, but is NOT rusted out on this car. THIS makes the car, as a true muscle car, worth the restoration expense. As a unibody car damaged in the left front the inner structure can be easily repaired. The car has NOT been disassembled. The trunk lid, doors, and roof are all good and not rotted. The black vinyl top is not on the data plate as factory and most likely dealer installed. The dash is intact for the most part but the pad is bad.The floor and trunk pans are good, only needing minor repairs int the spare tire holder area.. The hulk of the remaining body is in great shape. All of the grille and pieces are missing and the radiator core support is damaged and should be replaced. When new, this car had the stock 340 v8 with an automatic transmission. This vehicle, as far as its body and structure, are still intact. All of the interior needs replaced but is reproduced. Data trim reflects the black vinyl for the interior, with the solid Hemi orange exterior. This was a SWINGER packages car with the famous black band on the trunk and quarter panels. The VALUE of this car lies in the VIN. It IS what it is..a true piece of MOPAR's muscle car history. This car would be BEAUTIFUL redone. I will gladly assist in loading upon pickup but the BUYER must arrange their own shipping. Email any questions.
