Vehicle Detail
When it comes to a luxurious ride, nothing beats the 7-Series. Enough said. Always parked underground. No accidents with the first owner or over the last 10 years in our family. I will be completely upfront about a total of Three (3) imperfections. Aside from them, there is nothing mechanically or otherwise of issue. Nothing. 1) There is a ding near the passenger mirror. It is less than the size of a quarter, but on a spotless car it's noticeable. (Picture 13) 2) A small plastic part of the bumper is cracked in the front passenger side. No dents in the major part of the bumper near the crack. (Picture 14) 3) The plastic skirt that wraps around the driver's seat needs new fasteners or needs to be replaced entirely. All of the switches work fine. The fasteners are cheap, but the plastic piece sells in a set for both driver and passenger seats, $75 online. My mom is holding it up with black duct tape. (Picture 15) As you can see from the hanger on the rear view mirror, the car is always parked handicapped, which is probably why she has only one ding. Obviously, it's just an around town car...and at 85K miles, this engine is really only middle-aged, if that. As to the mechanics, the only thing that it needed upon last inspection was a new radiator which was replaced about a month ago. The pistons that lift the trunk could also be replaced, especially for an older person who might need a little more help putting groceries in the boot. Why is it for sale? Mom just doesn't want a big car anymore. So we're starting low and someone is going to get a great deal compared to what I see the dealers trying to get for the same car with many more miles. I would post the link but Ebay said no. Just go to KBB and search for '98-'00 740iL...you'll see what I mean. On Nov-09-12 at 17:15:09 PST, seller added the following information: Looks nice, does the automobile have any service records? Not sure...I'll check and update shortly. Also has the car had any type of cigar smoke or cigarette smoking inside? NO! Have any of the panels been painted On or body damage? Not to my knowledge and I highly doubt it, but will also check and update. Are the tires new or what would the tread life be ? Not sure about life, but tread looks good. I'll find out when they went on. On Nov-10-12 at 12:00:13 PST, seller added the following information: Service records: Sorry, my mom didn't realize why my dad kept these things, and now that he's gone... Paint/Body Damage: None. All paint is original. Tires: They went on at 70K miles, so they have about 15K miles of wear, and depending upon how you drive you should get another 40-50K. I also discovered that the air conditioner air filter was replaced about a year ago.
