Vehicle Detail
Call John at (443) 474-3463 - Spectacular 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS with only 43k documented original miles! Clean Autocheck Report can be provided upon request - No accidents, paintwork or damage of any kind, ever! I am proud to offer this stunning, all original 43K documented original mile 1988 Monte Carlo SS. This car has been garage kept since new and the condition of the car is exceptionally nice. These rare 1988 models were GM’s last rear wheel drive high performance cars before changing over to the front-wheel drive models. There aren’t too many of these cool cars left with low original miles and original paint, original upholstery and their matching #’s, all stock L-69 5.0 Liter (305 cid) H.O. engines and 2004R 4-speed automatic overdrive transmissions. This car is a time capsule/survivor type car that has never been painted or restored; just lovingly cared for, always garaged, driven sparingly and never raced or abused in any way. Look at the pictures; they speak for themselves! These cars, when driven daily and parked outside, typically rusted away after the paint cracked off. This one shines like new and runs and drives just as tight and responsive as the day it was built; a testament to the care it has received since it was born. Even the dual exhaust system is all original with no leaks and has that unmistakable smallblock Chevy rumble. The T-Tops do not leak and the seats have been covered since brand new so they still appear as new as well. Look at the carpets and floor mats; again, all ORIGINAL! Try and find another Monte Carlo SS like this one. Sure, there are a few of the typical chips and minor superficial scratches in the clear coat that one would expect on a car with 43K miles on it but it’s still so beautiful that it didn’t make sense for me to repaint it. They’re only original once. Even the tires are the factory correct Eagle GT + 4 Raised White Lettered Radials, which are out of production now. Put a new set of tires on this car and save the originals for show, if you like but they still have plenty of tread on them. Amenities include the aforementioned T-Tops (no leaks), Factory A/C (blows ICE-COLD), Bucket Seats (look like NEW) with Center Console & Floor Shift, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Cruise Control (currently not working), Factory top option Delco AM/FM Stereo/Cassette with Graphic Equalizer and 4-speakers (still sounds AWESOME), Rear Window Defroster and Power Trunk Release. Under the hood is the remarkable matching #’s 305 cubic inch High Output V-8, show detailed and ready for the road. I have gotten as much as 24 m.p.g. on a recent trip to North Carolina and back. Performance with the original TH 2004R 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and 3.73 posi-traction rear is strong…..the Corvette heads and camshaft they used in these L-69 High Output versions of the little 305 really made them come alive. The sound is the sweetest I have ever experienced in ANY car I have ever owned with a deep, mellow rumble without excessive noise. Every time I drive it, it puts a huge smile on my face. The car has recently been treated to a full tune-up consisting of all AC-Delco GM parts including new spark plugs, spark plug wires and stock H.E.I. distributor cap. A brand new K&N filter resides hidden in the stock air-cleaner assembly for improved breathing so that the 5.0 H.O. runs its best. A complete fluids change and professional detail were also performed recently so there is nothing left to do but drive it! I love the car but regretfully, I must sell it due to financial considerations. If you require shipping, I can make all of the arrangements and book the shipping for you with a professional transport company with a fully enclosed, fully insured transporter. All you will have to do is give him a check upon delivery. I am associated with the world’s largest volume classic and specialty car dealership so the shipping will be reasonably priced with first class service. This is probably the nicest original Monte SS currently on the market. Bid with confidence. Thank you for looking and good luck! Call John at (443) 474-3463
