Up for sale is a 1981 cb750c for parts or rebuild. Unfortunately, when I purchased the bike, I was too naive to see how poorly it had been taken care of. The engine has poor compression, most likely due to worn piston rings, requiring it to be rebuilt. The master brake cylinder was replaced by the previous owner with one from a Suzuki, and the original was lost. Both side covers are missing. The transmission, however, is smooth and the tires are in great shape. The gas tank and frame have light surface rust only, and the engine is rust free. The chrome all has minor spots and pitting only. The chain is shot as is the ignition switch, however, I have a new switch I'd be happy to include as well as a replacement alternator cover as the original has a small hole in it. I purchased this bike as my first street legal bike, and rode for several months before the power started to bog and it developed issues starting. The starting motor cranks just fine, but the compression issues keep it from firing properly. There is no battery included with the bike. I'm rather attached to this bike, however, I have a few other projects in the works, and it's time to part with at least one. I'd love to see this go to someone who wants to restore it or use it for a custom project. It's perfect for someone looking for an over winter project, however make no mistake, you won't be able to ride this one away. I require a $200 non-refundable deposit withing 24 hours of auction close. I might be able to make arrangements for delivery within 20 miles, however I would greatly prefer a pick up. There are services available to haul bikes, however I have no affiliation with any of these companies and can not provide a quote. I will require the bike to be picked up and full payment made within two weeks. If you wish to bid but can not pick it up within that time frame, please message me and ask before bidding.
