I am the third owner of this '89 240 GL. My mother was the second owner. She purchased it it 1994. It's a great car and I am sad to see it go, but parking is limited and we currently have three vehicles. Maintenance has been very inexpensive (less than $200/yr). Interior is in good shape/fair for the age of the car. Runs great with no major issues. Four good tires. However, it is an '89 so some issues are expected and we want to be as upfront as possible. The body is solid. There is one small ( few inches) spot of rust by the rear passenger side wheel. Some of the paint is oxidized. It has many scratches, but none have led to rust. The gas door is bent. I have a replacement gas door that just needs some matching paint. There is a very slow leak of transmission fluid, but has never led to any problems with the functioning of the transmission itself. Odometer and gas gauge are broken. A/C needs charged. The accident in columbus- car was hit in the right front wheel well. It was repaired, the frame straightened, and has caused no structural problems or mechanic problems. A stipner (brace) was added between the two front towers strut. The car stays in alignment. The right front fender was also replaced. Wellsburgh- My mom rear-ended a car in traffic. Everything above the bumper (core section) was replaced, the hood, and the left front fender. It is titled as a reconstructed vehicle. Repairs were very well done.
