1950 FORDEASYRODS CONVERSIONThis pro built retromod conversion started with an exceptional 1997 Thunderbird LX. This is a garaged Southern Ca. car with gray leather interior and all the optional power stuff, cold A/C, etc. The original radio was replaced with an AM/FM with CD player. The original 4.6 engine was replaced under extended warranty with a new 4.6 (not remanufactured) by Burke Ford in Bakersfield on 5 March 02. The car has 131,000 miles total; only 30,400 miles on the engine. The transmission was pro flushed; new filter and pressure checked about 5000 miles back. Everything works perfectly. The car has a clear CA title, and is emissions legal.The suspension has been upgraded with Eibach Springs (lowers car 1.75 inches), new shocks and struts. Brakes are near new including new rotors. Tires are near new BGF G-Force T/A with 18 inch wheels by Zinik. The body was prepared with many subtle modifications to improve fit and appearance. The nose is fitted with a stock 1950 grille by Dennis Carpenter Industries. The paint job is a three stage using only House of Kolor products (Shimrin Black Basecoat, Shimrin Brandywine Kandy, Kosmic Kolor Polyurethane Clear). This car is fun to drive and is a blast at car shows (the last picture is the marquee sign at the Riverside Casino, Laughlin NV). Has low reserve. Bid to win.
