Vehicle Detail

I will try to keep this brief and encourage bidders to call with questions. This car belonged to a friend of mine who I have estimated had approximately 20K invested. he started with an unbelievable solid low mileage 75 cutlass, I love Oldsmobile’s and have had plenty but I haven't seen a solid 75 in many years particularly one with a solid rear bumper so when I saw this one I was blown away, solid floors and trunk and so clean inside and out I couldn't believe it, He went through the drive train and suspension and kept the rest clean and stock looking. I think he liked to think of it as a sleeper but you can hear the power in the dual exhaust even at idle. Anyway the Rebuilt 455 has crazy power, is well built and has several after market upgrades including headers and new dual exhaust, Aluminum intake, carb and air cleaner. The trans was rebuilt and has a mild shift kit in it, the rear was worked by a local speed shop and has a strong posi which I believe is a 355 or 373. The suspension is all new and extra heavy duty handling kit (springs, sway bars etc.) so it handles incredibly well, rides like a caddy and sits so tough everyone comments on the suspension. Of course it also has good tires and brakes (Front discs), 4 core radiator, and much more. To say this car is turn key is an understatement, she's ready to show, shine or drag. The interior is very original as far as I can tell with the original bench seat, auto on the column allowing for six passengers when needed, it has some signs of wear including the typical plastic chalking on the rear sale panels and seat belt guides. The dash is in pretty good shape and not cut up like you normally see it does have a period correct cassette player that works great and after market Suntune tach and gauges (all working great) so you can accurately monitor RPM, Temp, Oil pressure and amperage. The seats look fine and are not ripped, Door panels and carpet have minor wear but all very presentable. I can only sell the car as is where is but as you can see from my feedback I don’t mislead anyone. Bidders should ask questions and come see the car is at all possible to make sure my opinion of a great turn key low budget driver is teh same as yours but it would be hard for anyone to debate the value of this car in any market so good luck and happy bidding. Note: The half vinyl top was removed and fresh Bright blue paint (matched the original color) was done at least 10 years ago so if there were body issues they would be evident by now and they are not so I believe the body is as solid s it looks and based on the trunk and floors I would say the car has been garaged much of its life. I added subtle silver stripes and a little wax to protect the paint but other than that and a safety inspection at a local garage I have done almost nothing to this survivor but enjoy cruising it. Unfortunately I need to sell a few of my cars to finance a real estate project so my loss can be your gain. Remember to call with questions before end of auction. Thanks again John 203-631-0184
