This is a great car to drive while working on body. The car is a 400 2 barrel, 330 horse, Turbo 400. Barn fresh, sat for 12 years in a pole barn. All number matching car. Brought car home, pulled plugs, wires, distributor, sprayed PB Blaster in all cylinders. Changed oil and filter. Primed oil pump. Replaced points, condenser, plugs, wires, cap and rotor button. Rebuilt Rochester two barrel carburetor. Replaced fuel pump, rubber hoses, cleaned and sealed gas tank and fuel sending unit. Primed carburetor, put in new battery, hit the key and it fired right up and ran beautiful. No smoke, no leaks. Replaced heater core and hoses, changed anti-freeze. Now replaced brake shoes, wheel cylinders, spring kit master cylinder, some lines and front rubber lines. The car has great pedal. Was told car was painted sometime in the 1980's. Body has very little rust, few dings. Bumpers need redone. One quarter molding is missing on passenger side. Floors and trunk solid. This car is not bad for 44 years old. Interior is original and looks great for age. I have an appointment Thursday, Nov 1st, at exhaust shop. Car will have new dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers from front to rear. Runs, drives and shifts great! Wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere with the exception of needs a new convertible top, wheels and tires.
