Vehicle Detail
I believe I am the 4th owner of this car. (The first owner was in Washington, the second in Nevada, the third in Arizona, and now the the car is in Colorado.) I bought it in 2005 and have since then driven it very rarely. It has been garaged the vast majority of the time. I am driving the car now, so the mileage will be going up a little. I have no knowledge of the car ever being in an accident. There is no rust on the outside of the car that I can see, though there are a few small dents in the doors that were there when I bought the car. The paint is not perfect but is still in pretty good condition all around. I had the hood repainted and put new decals on it when I bought the car. To get the car ready to sell, I put in a new power steering pump, a new headliner, a new cruise control transducer, and a new battery. There is an FM modulator also installed in the car that you can access from the glovebox. You can listen to your music on the radio if you have a CD player or iPod. The original car radio/cassette tape player is still installed and still works fine, but one of the center light digits is burnt out; you can't always tell what station you're on. The power windows work, but they roll up and down slowly and are very squeeky. The power locks work intermittently, I think because the lock motors are weak. I never bothered to recharge the air conditioning when I bought the car. Maybe a simple recharge would do the trick, and maybe not. The emergency brake must also be fixed. The interior is all there, but there are signs of use and sun. There is a tear in the driver's seat and a wear-mark in the steering wheel. The engine still runs strong. If you buy the car, take care if it. There aren't too many 4.9L turbocharged Pontiac engines left, especially not Indy 500 pace car editions. I will accept cash in person only. The sale of this car is final. There will be no returns. I love this car but have a family now and need an SUV more. Please e-mail me with questions. I'd like anyone who wants to buy this car to know what he/she is getting into. Thanks. On Oct-31-12 at 12:31:56 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: October 31st, 1:20 PMYes, the cruise control works. I have the title free and clear. I also have some of the original sales paperwork and manuals that can be seen in the new pictures. I have found some rust. You can see it in the new pictures I have uploaded of the car around the trunk hinges and a little on the driver's side door. A new a radiator clutch fan is now also installed. I can prove most of this stuff with receipts, by the way. Of the 3 turbocharge indicator lights on the hood, only the "normal" light works. The other two will need to be fixed. (This does not mean that the turbocharger itself doesn't work.) On Nov-03-12 at 09:53:07 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: November 3rd, 10:50 AM Whether the t-tops leak or not depends on how hard the rain is. A few weeks ago, I was out driving the car in a moderate rain, and the t-tops didn't leak at all. In heavier rains, the t-tops do leak a little bit at the very back corner by the window. Where you really run into problems is when you take the car through the drive-thru car wash. Don't do it. However, the headliner is brand new now, so there is no water damage on it, and the headliner board is in good condition, not all warped. If I am going to leave the car outside, I always take a tarp and slam it in the car doors to hold it across the t-tops on the outside to be sure that no water gets in if it rains. If you'd like, you can call me at (720) 280-2045. If I can't answer the phone, leave me a message so that I can call you.
