The car was an original LL- Tahoe Turquoise Metallic. In October, 2000 the owner, Chester, had it repainted at a cost of $3180.00 - what it is today. Emerald Turquoise Metallic to match the interior. His wife said he really liked the color of the interior and changerd it. It ended to be a fantastic choice. I have all the before and after pictures to show what was done. The original sheet metal remains on the car as per the photos. Exterior - KK - Emerald Turquoise Mettalic. Interior - 775 - Medium Turquoise Roncina Cloth w/ Medium Turquoise Imitation Leather (Vinyl). That is all original to the car. On Nov-01-12 at 10:52:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a brief history on the car. I have received many calls on the car. Which I appreciate. I love this car. And the story that comes with it. I will go into more detail with the winning bidder. The original owners, who I purchased the car from, Chester and Ann Zoltewicz, purchased this car from Fairway Chevrolet in Hazelton, Pa. on 11/10/67. It was the "Demo" car for a salesman, Charles Jabjiniak, (yea I know, fantastic Polish names, nothing new here in Northeast Pennsylvania). Chester wrote down everything, mostly in the owners manual, but scraps of paper too, along with receipts, which are included in the sale. Things like what day he washed/waxed it, rotated tires, which tires were best for what roads, oil changes, etc. The list goes on. Chester had it painted by Rick's Auto Body, Wilkes Barre, in October, 2000 for a price of $3180. I have all receipts and before and after photos to see the work done. Shortly afterwards, Chester passed away. Ann, Chester's wife kept the car in the heated garage and would drive it here and there in the summer. She decided to sell it when she moved from Wilkes-Barre,Pa. to Harvey's Lake,Pa., and contacted an Antique Shop, Cook & Cook, located in Plains, Pa., to look at items she had in her Wilkes-Barre home that she was not going to move up to her new place in the country. And that's where I come in. I Purchased it from Ann, with the help of Cook & Cook, in February. I have enjoyed it ever since. I wish I can keep it forever, but situations change, And I am going to be real sad to see it go. On Nov-01-12 at 11:12:32 PDT, seller added the following information: If you have a "0" history, or you are new to EBAY, please call me, my number is 570-793-3539. It's not that I don't appreciate your interest, I would like to confirm that you know how ebay works, payment deadlines, etc. And to prevent any confusion, it wasn't the temporary protect-o-plate itself that was in shortage, it was the booklets that were unavailable, the plates were issued on the temporary single card, as seen in the ad photo. The original full booklet with the original protecto-o-plate matching this car's vin#, and the original owner that I purchased the car from, Chester Zoltewicz, is included with the sale. That is the one that is horizontal. Chester and Ann Zoltewicz, lived in Nanticoke, Pa. at the time of the purchase of the Chevelle from Fairway Motors Chevrolet in Hazelton, Pa. then moved to Wilkes Barre,Pa. years later. All the towns mentioned, Nanticoke, Hazelton, Wilkes Barre, Harvey's Lake, and Wyoming, Pa. are all within a short ride from each other. The car was always original to the Northeast Pa. (Wyoming Valley) area. On Nov-03-12 at 08:43:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I Recently did the following maintenance within the last 200 miles. I changed the Oil and Filter. I swear by Royal Purple 5w-30 and the Purolater Classic Filter. Also Changed plugs and wires. Autolites for the plugs. Xact for the wires. I have receipts for all. I also kept the wires - just in case.
