Offered here for your consideration and bids is a 1928 Auburn Model 88 Victoria. Auburn introduced the Victoria in mid 1928 and they were discontinued by late 1929. Only 2 examples are known to exist and this the only 8-cylinder model. This is your chance to own a one-of-a-kind early CCCA recognized classic. The vehicle is ACD Certified and all numbers match. This Auburn runs well and is a joy to drive. It was repainted in the 1970's and the paint is showing it's age. The interior is still factory original, with the exception of the carpets and some chrome. The original exterior soft-top is still intact without rips or tears. The car is very straight and solid. The only thing missing is the mechanical fuel pump. It currently has an electric pump. All in all, this Auburn is in remarkable original condition for a 80+ year old survivor that has never been restored. The odometer reads an amazing 43,058 miles. Condition: Wonderful antique automobile. A true time-capsule with great lines. Dual side-mounts plus the impressive radiator and cowling, the extremely rare hood ornament and giant period headlights are truly appealing. Recent work has included a new radiator ($2k), new gas tank, new water jacket, refurbished transmission, serviced brakes and rear-end in addition to normal servicing of all mechanical components as changing belts, hoses, etc. The temperature gauge has been rebuilt plus new lock cylinders installed in the door and trunk. The side-mount mirrors are not original to the car. Repairs needed: Windshield wipers are not functioning nor is the gas gauge. The hand-throttle needs to be hooked-up.
