Vehicle Detail
***This car is currently NOT RUNNING*** Currently not running, not wired, and the brakes are not connected. The body is straight, but there are some small patches that have been Bondo'd. The floorboard has a small hole underneath the back seat, this is pointed out in the picture with my hand pointing to it. There is some "bubbling" under the paint in the quarter panels behind the rear wheels, a common rust area - there is also photos of this in the pictures. The odometer reads 02750, but has rolled over- not sure if it has 102750 or 202650! Okay, now for the positive parts. This is a real JS29 car! Sublime green, black vinyl top, sport SE rear window. I bought this car in August of 2004, and immediately starting working on it. That meant tearing out the original wiring harness, replacing the front drums with a set of Stainless Steel Brake Company disc brakes, replaced the front suspension with s new setup from PST and some heavier duty torsion bars. I rebuilt a 383 HiPo engine that came out of a like-yeared Roadrunner topped with an Edelbrock dual plane intake and Demon 750 scfm carb, installed a 3" TTI exhaust system (headers and H-Pipe), put in the 727 auto tranny and correct 1970 driveshaft. It has a correct aftermarket steel R/T hood and dual exhaust valence. It has a pair of '70's 440 heads with hardened seats for unleaded gas. There are a TON of parts that come with this car. I have a new master cylinder, new brake lines, stainless steel exhaust tips, correct 1970 chrome side mirrors (in need of re-finishing), hood pin kit, interior screw kit, emblems, wiring diagrams, an additional steel hood and TA valence, all of the chrome and trim pieces. Additionally, I even have the drum brakes that I took off of it if you want them. There are probably more parts, I'd have to go through the trunk and my garage to really make an accurate list. Contact me with ANY questions, or if you want additional photos. This car is garaged at my home in Richland, WA. It is being sold as is, and you will need to come and get it (it doesn't appear that anyone will ship a car that is not running and has no brakes!). Honestly, when you look at these '70 Challengers online they are either frame-only units or complete restoration jobs. There just aren't many of these project-ready cars for sale anymore. This car has the potential to be bought and fixed up for your enjoyment, or resold with room for a profit. I hate to see it go, but I just don't have the time, space, or tools required to really make this gem shine, so I will be happy to see her go to someone who appreciates these beautiful old E-Bodies. Thanks for looking, and remember that I am happy to answer questions or take additional pics!!
