Vehicle Detail
Here we have for sale a 1965 shortbox stepside pickup. It has a 350 motor and tranny. It started life with a 283 powerglide I believe, less than 70 miles from here. I still have the protecto plate. It runs and drives very well despite having manual steering and brakes. It drives straight and stops straight. It has very good road manners. The motor I believe is mostly stock, judging by the smooth idle. I have never had it apart. No reason to, it runs too good. If you are looking for a tire scorcher, this is not that truck. Look for one of those ads where they devote most of the ad to whats in the motor, there are plenty of them out there. This one will bark the tires if you get after it, but it is mostly a cruiser. It has respectable power, but still idles at a stop light very well. The transmission shifts smoothly as it should. All components such as wipers, heater, blinkers, and lights work as they should. Tires and wheels are brand new, less than 30 miles on them, installed last week. The interior has been redone, mostly stock with the exception of an aftermarket radio. Not my choice, but it was there when I bought the truck. It works too. The wood in the bed has been redone also. Check out the pics, I think it looks great. The paint is very good driver quality, but is not show quality. This truck gets driven to and from car shows and the ice cream shop. There are some chips and such showing up. Also some sanding scratches are beginning to show as it is single stage paint. I don't want to take too much away from it , as it looks very good, but I tend to be very picky about my vehicles. It was painted when I bought it. All in all this is a very good truck for local car shows, cruise nights, and again, the ice cream shop. (notice the pattern? I like ice cream:) As I am a lot better at talking than typing, if you have any questions, Please call 712-249-1928 If it looks like something that would work for you, go ahead and bid. If not , thanks for looking and have a good day. DISCLAIMER: As this is a 47 year old truck there is no warranty expressed or implied. There will be a $500.00 deposit required thru PayPal within 48 hours of auction end. The balance to be pd in cash or secured funds. Cashiers checks will have to clear my bank before the truck is allowed to leave. I will not pay for shipping, but will assist in loading. Thank you and have a good day.
