For sale is my 1977 Mercedes Benz 450SL Roadster hard top convertible. It is a beautiful looking car and perfect for the summer time. It is in fair condition. I took it to my mechanic last week and he said some work should be done on it, only consisting of cosmetic work. As the description states, only minor cosmetic work is needed. The paint job isn't bad, however some of the panels are an off-color yellow which is noticeable in the sunlight. I wouldn't recommend painting it any other color than yellow because the fire wall is yellow... it may look a little strange. Just my opinion. The following states the cosmetic work my mechanic mentioned (as well as price): 1) A new hood release $221 2) Fix an exhaust leak $322 3) Idler arm bush kit $121 4) Left tail light - free 5) Front brake sensor cut $30 6) Wiper blades $30 7) Exhaust hangers $25 8) Antenna $100 Total: $845 As you can see from the pictures the interior is in great condition. The transmission has been replaced, there are about 3,000 miles on the new tranny. New front & rear brakes were put in with also about 3,000 miles (I replaced the brakes along with the transmission approximately around the same time). The car runs beautifully. It was just smogged and had no issues. It roars to life when its started up. And it drives very smoothly, the suspension system is great! I also keep it stored in a garage with a cover on it.
