Terms & Conditions Please read through all of the terms and conditions of this sale – it is well worth your time even if they are long and through. These terms have been revised and adjusted based on what we have learned in nearly a decade of selling vehicles on eBay. These conditions are there to protect both the seller and buyer and to let you know what to expect from this sale. We are not responsible for anything that you chose not to read. We have a regular sales facility complete with office, lot and shop. We are members of the Cumberland Maine Business Association and strive to be a valued member of our community. Although we were founded in 2011, our dealer principal has approximately 10 years of business experience selling vehicles online – and a lifetime of experience around cars, racecars, trucks and equipment. He has sold vehicles to customers all over the world on eBay. We maintain a full website that tells all about our business and us and invite you to check it out. We want you to learn about our business so you know that we are professionals and not a fly-by-night operation. The title will be released to the winning bidder once full payment is received. Due to financial institutions sometimes holding titles, there could be a slight delay in this process of 24-48 hours before you have a title in hand or overnight shipped to you. Rarely will this take any longer. If the buyer is a Maine resident, we will collect a $33 title fee from that buyer and submit that title application to the state on your behalf. All eBay sales include a State of Maine arbitration fee of $1. That is required by law, but we work it into our eBay prices. We do not charge any documentation or preparation fees. We do collect 5% sales tax from Maine residents only. That is a state law. Out of state buyers are responsible for paying sales tax in their home states and localities as required by law. Advance notice of pick-up is requested. We maintain business hours on each weekday and can usually meet you on evenings and Saturdays to show a car or have you pick it up. By law, we are required to be closed for business on Sundays, but if the titlework is completed in advance and you just need to pick up a car on a Sunday, we might be able to make arrangements to have you do so. We try to work with all of our customers based on their needs. If you have different needs for a vehicle, please let us know as we have other cars and trucks in inventory that we could put up for auction and/or list on eBay by request. We also have other vehicles in the process of being prepped for sale and we can always look to find what you are in the market for. We buy our cars at auctions throughout New England and have access to thousands of vehicles out there, so it never hurts to ask. Please e-mail us any questions. If you are coming in from out of town, we will do our best to pick you up at the Portland, Maine airport (PWM) or the Portland, Maine Amtrak or bus stations. Please just let us know before you book your travel so we can coordinate schedules. We can also recommend local lodging if you are coming in from out of town. There are beaches, lobster pounds, outlet stores, lighthouses and all kinds of tourist attractions within 15 minutes of our dealership, so we recommend making a vacation to the Maine coast part of your car buying experience. We can also work with shippers and even recommend a few shippers who we have heard to have good reputations if you are having a car shipped. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours and full payment is required within seven days unless prior arrangements are made. If full payment is not received within that timeframe, your deposit will be forfeited to pay towards our eBay fees and costs to list this item. Your eBay bid is a legally binding contract. Please only bid if you have the intention of following through with your commitment to buy. You are responsible for arranging financing, but we will do our best to work with your financial institution to make everything easy. Most of our cars for sale come with 14-day temporary license plates. These are not available though to Massachusetts residents due to Massachusetts laws. You are responsible for obtaining your own insurance. If a car is being sold as an unsafe vehicle that needs repair work (i.e. a fixer-upper), we will disclose that in the ad and advise you to have it towed or shipped from our dealership. Those cars should not be driven on the roads until they are repaired and properly inspected in your home state. I was one of the first dealers to sell vehicles on eBay and over the past decade, I’ve heard all kinds of excuses where someone’s wife, children, business partner, dog, burglar or pet goldfish has logged onto their account and “accidently” purchased an item. If it is your account, you will be responsible for your accounts. We are reasonable to work with, but cannot incur the costs from someone committing to a purchase and then changing their mind. A $200 non-performance charge will be assessed to any non-paying bidder. This will be in addition to any forfeited deposit. We will use the court system and/or collection agencies to collect that fee. If the legal system is used, we will also charge all legal fees to the non-paying bidder. This is how we make our living and it’s not a game to us. We reserve the right to waive these fees if you have a legit and documented issue that comes up, we are human beings after all, but we are also in business and need to pay our overhead . If a buyer comes to physically see a vehicle and they do not agree with the condition report that we have made, we will work with them to make things right and if they have a valid concern, we will release them from any commitment to buy. The majority of my buyers through the years have told me after the sale that their vehicle was even better than it was described. We strive for that kind of reaction from our customers. We request that vehicles be picked up within seven days of the sale unless other arrangements are made – but we are understanding of travel arrangements and can usually hold a car or relocate it to a storage facility if you ask us to. This 1996 Buick Roadmaster currently has only 61,108 miles. I have personally driven it for approximately 1,000 miles since we got it in and have taken extensive notes about the car. We purchased it at dealer auction from a major Maine General Motors dealership that took it in trade.
1996 was the final year of production for the Roadmaster, which was the last of the big rear wheel driver Buick sedans. It is powered by a 350-cubic inch, 5.7-liter LT-1 engine – which is basically the same engine that was in the Corvettes of the same era. That is mated to a 4L60E four speed electronic automatic transmission.
This car is a Collector’s Edition with an aftermarket Presidential Package – which includes a body colored vinyl half roof.
This car is Medium Marblehead Metallic (Paint Code U9924) with a Ruby Red leather interior (Code #792).
I have the RPO production codes for all of the options that this car was equipped with, so if you have any specific questions, please ask. Those options include power front seats, electronic air conditioning, power heated mirrors, automatic air leveling suspension, G80 Posi-traction rear end, 2.93 rear end ratio, dual exhaust, 15x7” aluminum wheels, a factory stereo with cassette and CD players along with Concert Sound II speakers, cruise control, power windows, power door locks and tilt steering wheel. This car is also equipped with a heavy-duty tow package from the factory. Although this did not include a trailer hitch and it appears that this car never has actually towed – it did include a heavy-duty oil cooler and transmission cooler.
This car starts right up and idles smooth. We reset a check engine light that indicated that an oxygen sensor is malfunctioning. We will be replacing that sensor prior to the car’s sale. There are no knocks or raps from the engine. The car does not run hot. The transmission shifts smooth and firm. It does not slip. We will be performing and transmission service prior to the car’s sale as well – complete with new filter. The brakes feel good with a firm pedal. The parking brake works. The front end feels tight and the ride is smooth.
No major dents were noted on the car. There were a few small door dings on the right side. There are a few typical light scratches on the car, but nothing notable. There is slight wear on the tri-color pinstripe. There is also moderate discoloration and delamination of the trim on the front and rear bumper covers. The glass is good. There is one small rust bubble on the driver’s side doorsill. Everything else, including the rocker panels, are very solid.
The interior is clean. There is very little wear and no tears on the seats. There is also no major cracking in the leather. The carpets show slight wear and no tears. They are very good for the age of this car. The dash is not cracked. The car has an aftermarket dash cover and underneath that, the dash looks new. The headliner does not sag and shows no staining. The right front floormat is missing. The cassette player does not appear to work. The CD player does work. The stereo sounds great. The air conditioning is cold. The cruise control works. The owner’s manual is included. There are two sets of keys and two remotes that come with the car.
The tires are size 235/70R15 General Altimax RTs that have very good tread remaining. There is a full-size spare in the trunk that is of the Uniroyal brand. It has never been used. The wheels are in good shape with slight wear and brake dust staining as well as slight delamination. The center caps are all there.
We do not charge any documentation fees, so your bid is what you pay – the exception being that State of Maine residents are responsible for sales tax and title fees which we are required to collect by law.
This car will be sold with a 14-day temporary plate and a fresh State of Maine inspection sticker. All of our retail sales also include a fresh or recent oil change and a Carfax report. We will top off your fluids and set your tire pressures before you pick up your new car as well.

Those cars should not be driven on the roads until they are repaired and properly inspected in your home state.
I was one of the first dealers to sell vehicles on eBay and over the past decade, I’ve heard all kinds of excuses where someone’s wife, children, business partner, dog, burglar or pet goldfish has logged onto their account and “accidently” purchased an item. If it is your account, you will be responsible for your accounts. We are reasonable to work with, but cannot incur the costs from someone committing to a purchase and then changing their mind. A $200 non-performance charge will be assessed to any non-paying bidder. This will be in addition to any forfeited deposit. We will use the court system and/or collection agencies to collect that fee. If the legal system is used, we will also charge all legal fees to the non-paying bidder. This is how we make our living and it’s not a game to us. We reserve the right to waive these fees if you have a legit and documented issue that comes up, we are human beings after all, but we are also in business and need to pay our overhead .
If a buyer comes to physically see a vehicle and they do not agree with the condition report that we have made, we will work with them to make things right and if they have a valid concern, we will release them from any commitment to buy. The majority of my buyers through the years have told me after the sale that their vehicle was even better than it was described. We strive for that kind of reaction from our customers.
We request that vehicles be picked up within seven days of the sale unless other arrangements are made – but we are understanding of travel arrangements and can usually hold a car or relocate it to a storage facility if you ask us to. We are reasonable to work with.

Maine residents are responsible for $33 State of Maine title fee and 5% sales tax to be collected by our dealership and paid directly to the State. Out of State buyers are responsible for all state and local taxes after the purchase. All buyers are responsible for any excise tax and/or registartion fees when they register their vehicle.
