Vehicle Detail
If you want to put a smile on your face when you drive, this is the car for you. This 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 has been my daily driving partner since I bought it in 2007, she has 37,000+/- miles on a rebuilt engine. We are selling her as it's time for us to "upgrade" to a "true" 4 seat passenger car. All service records, owners manuals, tool kit, jack & air compressor and two sets of keys are included in the sale. Engine and Transmission: The Engine is 3.6L with 6 cylinders. The engine was professionally rebuilt in 2007, it has 37,000+/- miles on the it. The total miles on the car are 137,694 as of this listing. We have all the maintenance receipts from our ownership and receipts from the other 2 owners before us. The engine starts right up, idles well and runs strong. Our mechanic is available to talk with serious buyers, email me for his phone number. See Maintenaance Records Section below for more details. Transmission is a 5 speed manual transmission. A week ago shifting into reverse became sloppy, our mechanic recommends replacing the gear bolt ($200-$300). Other than that, this car starts, stops, accelarates, corners and handles as a Porsche should! Condition Interior and Exterior: The Interior is in good shape and very clean, but is begining to show some wear. There are no rips or tears in any of the leather seats, header, etc. and the seats are very comfortable. All Power Options (as noted above) are in working conditon. Interior Issues: rear passenger plastic seatbelt cover is broken and rear passenger driver side seat does not lock in up position; ash tray does not close; air conditioning hasn't been charged since 2009, didn't work well this summer, the fan works, as does the heater. The Exterior is in good shape, paint has minor chips on hood & minor scratches. Last year we had the car detailed and the bumpers & paint looked beautiful. Exterior Issues: drivers side rear bumper has scratches; rear wing frame has two cracks but it works fine; bubbling in body at drivers side front windshield; bumpers begining to show signs of oxidation. The photos taken of this car are after the car has been washed, not waxed and you'll see that for it's minor imperfections, it looks and is beautiful. Other Features: An after market stereo was professionally installed in 2001 by a previous owner, a JVC KD-SX750 CD player with remote control. It plays well and the remote control is too cool! (Have receipt and manual); Cassette tape holder in center console was changed to a two cup holder, (I like my coffee); The trunk is very clean; All the lids, doors, and sunroof do not leak and; open and close as they should. MAINTENANCE RECORDS: We have the following documents in PDF form available for serious buyers. 1. "Repair History 1990 911 Porsche" - this is a spread sheet of all the repairs made to the car since we've owned it and the previous owner based on the receipts we have from him. 2. "Sonnen Porsche's Certified Pre-Owner Inspection" - before we purchased the car in 2007, I took it to the Porsche dealership for an inspection. Serious Buyers: If you have more questions, want copies of the Maintenance Record items as listed above, or would like to speak to our mechanic, please email us. This 911 Porsche runs and drives good. This is a great sports car to own and drive. It will put a smile on your face.
