This is a 1968 J code fastback that needs total restoration. New Carburetor, Starter and battery. Please note that the interior is complete (I have all the trim and that is hard to find a complete fastback with complete interior intact. I have clear title in Hand. I have the Marti report. Deluxe Marti report indicates the car was factory ordered in Wimbledon white plant, black standard interior 3.00 gear ratio and c4 Cruisomatic transmission. Further options were tinted glass, am radio air conditioning, f70 wide oval tires and chrome styled steel wheels. and the car was delivered at a Ford Dealership in Pensacola fla. With the deluxe Marti reports they give indications of the car was ordered for "retail" (meaning it was ordered) or "stock" which means the dealer ordered in inventory. This report says this car was Basic off-standard order type. I spoke with Kevin Marti about this and he says 99% likely this car was ordered new by military personel. He then commented how rare it was to see chrome SS wheels ordered on a non GT. and noted the AC and Tinted glass which I already knew as nice to have. The car has surprisingly nice front and rear rails/shock towers and rear trunk and rear torque boxes. The car does need full floors and DS front torque boxe. They were repaired in the past and while there are no holes, these should be replaced. Also be advised that the engine bay harness and underdash harness are in poor condition and I have actually already removed the engine bay harness/I have a good used replacement for both the engine bay and under hood. The car will run with jumper wire. Going over the body. The hood is shot (rusted) and there to protect the engine. The trunk lid is an excellent original. The 2 doors, and left front fender are very good used ones from a 1968 hardtop and the RS front fender is NEW reproduction. The doors came from a hardtop for I have the TINTED fastback door glass just not in the doors. Please let me know if you have any particular question/any details you want to know..
